9 /10

There are 12 hostels available for students. 5 are under construction. Being a Day Scholar, I am not aware of fees structure, But the costs are high. PGs are available and are affordable. Food served at the mess is good and Healthy, The cost per meal is Rs 50. The quality of Classrooms vary on the date of construction, old classrooms are real hell. Wifi is good. Common areas like Canteens and Dining Halls are good with proper AC/, Cooler & ventilations.

B.E.(Electronics-Instrumentation and Control), batch of 2016 8/10
ACADEMICS & FACULTY: Academics is good in Thapar university. All classes are engaged in time. Each student is required to keep his attendance record above 75% to prevent detention from that subject. Some Professors are really good and helpful and most professors can be easily accessed outside the classroom.Classes are engaged from 8-5 but actual schedule may vary from branch to branch. We have a CGPA system here (some college also follow % system). At the end of the semester students can also rate the quality and methodology of teaching by filling a SRS(Student Response Survey)
