Hostels are worst. The only first-year hostel is awesome. WiFi speed is pathetic, food is average and costs around INR 2,500 per month for non-veg and INR 3,300 for veg. Classrooms are excellent and Labs are below average.

INFRASTRUCTURE & TRANSPORTATION: buildings are very very old.....academic building although it is big but it dont even look like it is of NIT, it looks like it has never been painted, their are no ACs in the computer lab or in library and not even in the administrative building,classrooms are very very old ....walls look like they are painted with chalks....fans in the classrooms are from late 50s.....their are no audio speakers in the class rooms so if you are planning to sit on the last bench drop that idea,hostels are okay but in first year they keep five students in a single room which can hardly accomodate three,fi...

ACADEMICS & FACULTY:
  • Academic schedule is flexible which is good, especially in I.T department. Project work is good under some professors and the tests are conducted once every semester(mid semester).
  • There are relevant courses provided but sometimes choices are not available.
  • Mostly through slides, thus no need of bulky handwritten notes and for some people not particularly necessary to attend classes just for writing notes or running for xerox at the end sem.
