Academics & Faculty
Know more
5 /10

  • The faculty is really good. There are learned senior professors, especially in the mechanical department which is said to be the BEST in Pune after COEP or maybe even equally good.
  • The other departments have excellent professors as well.

Fees & Scholarship
Know more
7 /10

  • The course fee is above Rs 1 lakh per annum for general category.
  • As you know getting scholarship is not very easy for such students & also has to face lot of competition even for that.
  • From the peoples who apply only around 20% gets it.
  • Sometimes ,loans are needed because its not just the fees, but Hostel (outside students), books, stationary, living expenses etc.they are available on the basis of education loans from the banks.

Placements & Alumni Network
Know more
7 /10

  • I think internship opportunities offered to my program from the college was limited, only those who had contacts in the industry or references could make it to a summer/winter internship.
  • The college should seriously work on it. Placement cell is quite active and many companies came to campus for recruitment like mahindra&mahindra;, atlas Copco, Halliburton, Shangdong, mu sigma, cognizant, JSW etc. Avg salary figures are around 2 to 2.5 lacs/annum. But a very few were placed in these big giants. Out of a batch of 200 students I think only 50 are placed (off and on campus included), i.e just 25% are placed. the alumni network is huge and college is always supportive in providing the names and contact details.

Infrastructure & Transportation
Know more
8 /10

  • The majestic entrance invites you to the mammoth MIT campus which feels like a small township in itself. MIT School of Management, MIT School of Business, MIT College of Pharmacy, MITCOE, and many other MIT Colleges are part of the same campus as Maharashtra Institute of Technology (MIT).
  • The infrastructure is top notch. Classrooms are airy, labs are excellent and well-equipped. The library is MASSIVE! There are gardens and lawns, football fields, basketball & volleyball courts, space & facilities for indoor games, you name it!

Clubs & Associations
Know more
7 /10

  • MIT was very supportive in extracurricular activities. It had a recreational hall and a gymkhana inside the campus in which facilities to play carrom table tennis and other indoor games were provided.
  • Also there's a huge playground for outdoor games inside the campus only. MIT holds a national level sports event known as SUMMIT every September of the year. Additionally, college annual social gathering also takes place every year during early weeks of January. My college also organizes the Indian Student Parliament every year and National level technical event TEXEPHYR.

Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Mechanical Engineering), batch of 2014 8/10
  • The time table of my mechanical engineering department was well planned. It was never a hectic full tight back to back lectures schedule.
  • In Maharashtra Institute of Technology some professors were extremely intelligent and had an in-depth knowledge of the subject, they were good at guiding us in career decisions too.
  • The electives offered were completely future-oriented industry relevant subjects and faculty was also available to teach those subjects.
  • Lectures were not held regularly that I think is the ...

Bachelor of Engineering [BE], batch of 2014 7/10
  • Academics is good at Maharashtra Institute of Technology but the faculty is not so good. Most of them are under-qualified to be a teacher at high school. My department did not have even a single professor who had Industrial experience.
  • The placement department in Maharashtra Institute of Technology is very active and has long-term contracts with some good companies but due to bad faculty, most of the students are not eligible for the placements. Those who are eligible do get placed.

Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Agricultural Engineering), batch of 2017 8/10
  • The faculty is really good. There are learned senior professors, especially, in the mechanical department which is said to be the BEST in Pune after COEP or maybe even equally good.
  • The other departments have excellent professors as well.
  • The usual suspects (Infosys, TCS) grab students in numbers, but MIT also has Microsoft and Deloitte picking up a few students.
  • Global leader Shell recruits Petroleum students in bulk too.
  • MIT offers nearly 100%...
