Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Mechanical Engineering), batch of 2014 8/10
ACADEMICS & FACULTY:
  • The time table of my mechanical engineering department was well planned. It was never a hectic full tight back to back lectures schedule.
  • In Maharashtra Institute of Technology some professors were extremely intelligent and had an in-depth knowledge of the subject, they were good at guiding us in career decisions too.
  • The electives offered were completely future-oriented industry relevant subjects and faculty was also available to teach those subjects.
  • Lectures were not held regularly that I think is the ...

Bachelor of Engineering [BE], batch of 2014 7/10
ACADEMICS & FACULTY:
  • Academics is good at Maharashtra Institute of Technology but the faculty is not so good. Most of them are under-qualified to be a teacher at high school. My department did not have even a single professor who had Industrial experience.
PLACEMENTS & ALUMNI NETWORK:
  • The placement department in Maharashtra Institute of Technology is very active and has long-term contracts with some good companies but due to bad faculty, most of the students are not eligible for the placements. Those who are eligible do get placed.

Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Agricultural Engineering), batch of 2017 8/10
ACADEMICS & FACULTY:
  • The faculty is really good. There are learned senior professors, especially, in the mechanical department which is said to be the BEST in Pune after COEP or maybe even equally good.
  • The other departments have excellent professors as well.
PLACEMENTS & ALUMNI NETWORK:
  • The usual suspects (Infosys, TCS) grab students in numbers, but MIT also has Microsoft and Deloitte picking up a few students.
  • Global leader Shell recruits Petroleum students in bulk too.
  • MIT offers nearly 100%...
