  • There is a girls hostel present in Institute of Engineering and Management. I don't have much more information about boy's hostel.
  • Hostel fees were Rs. 65k per year in my batch. Now the value has got increased little more probably to Rs. 80k per year.
  • Food quality is average.
  • Classrooms, labs, libraries are pretty good and wifi is also available both in college and hostels.

  • We organize our own book fair, cultural fest, technical fest, sports competition during winter are held in Institute of Engineering and Management.
  • We have a photography club, art club, dancing club, singing club etc on the campus.

ACADEMICS & FACULTY:
  • College timings are normal and quite appropriate for students. Exam are taken at regular intervals and assignments are given regularly. Projects are not compulsory except the final year project.
  • Quality of faculty and teaching is appreciable.
  • Overall education in iem is quite better than any of the government or private colleges in West Bengal.
FEES AND SCHOLARSHIP:

Fees varies every semester. Normally it is about Rs 40000 per semester.

Scholarships are not provided to any students.

ACADEMICS & FACULTY:
  • Class timings : 9AM-4PM,(You are not allowed to enter after 9 even if it was just 10 min late).
  • Quality of teaching is really poor. Lots of rules and regulations are attached with this college, so one should check those before joining this college. Besides all the disciplines, you will hear from people that iem has a really good teaching faculty. But believe me it is not good. Yes they will talk about 100% placements which again doesnt make any sense because even iits dont provide that. But iem does because the companies that recruits these stude...
