  • This is a for a masters program in Software Engineering so the course daily schedule at Gautam Buddha University is quite relaxing but we were kept busy at all times regarding our major project and research work. Classes started from 9h and almost after 14h we are calling off the day with a few assignments to be completed at the hostel. There were two domain for Computer Science students to choose from i.e., Software Engineering and ISR and basically the students had complete flexibility in choosing a particular domain. Tests were held regularly throughout the course and students were evaluated on overall performance based on written tests, assignments and oral presentations. Teachers provided all relevant study material for each student and other reference books could be easily borrowed from the library for an interval of a semester or 15 days. All teachers and staff were highly professional and they tried to give personal attention to students(except some guest faculties). Even outside of the classroom students could maintain a friendly relationship with the professors, creating a good feeling of camaraderie.
  • The quality and method of teaching along with the practical approach to studies was fine. There was an average mix of theory, practice and oral presentations providing the students with a strong technical base. The major focus will always be a student's project and the research paper.

  • Campus placement is not up to the mark at Gautam Buddha University.
  • Eventually, students have to go for off-campus placement. University states to have collaboration with many I.T. Companies such as TCS, TATA, HCL etc. Hopefully, in near future, we'll see such eminent companies in our campus for placements.

Infrastructure & Transportation

9 /10

  • Everything is available and the infrastructure is modern and up to date in Gautam Buddha University. One of the best campuses that I have seen. There is nothing negative about commuting facilities. Everything is nearby from malls to general stores.

Hostels & Food
Know more
8 /10

  • Much housing options are not available as the hostel is compulsory in Gautam Buddha University. The best part of being in the hostel is that you are provided with individual rooms but the only negative point is that hostel gates for girls close at 7 pm so there is a bit restriction over there. On campus there is a nice cafeteria (9/10) which is cheap, has very nice seating but the canteen is just about ok. But outside campus, you have 100 options. Budget depends on where and what you choose to eat. Mess meals are also fine.

Clubs & Associations

10 /10

  • 10/10 on Gautam Buddha University. Many student associations with a lot of activity around the year. The people are very helpful and friendly. If you happen to join the school you will have the chance to experience it yourself! Again amazing. A lot of clubs-dramatics, literary, dance, music, sports, adventure club etc. There are different stadiums in the campus from international cricket stadium, hockey stadium, football stadium etc. The count is endless. No One university can beat up this university when it comes to its clubs and infrastructural facilities.

Social Atmosphere
Know more
6 /10

  • Average, I had classmates belonging to the wide variety of communities. There is no tolerance with regards to gender, ethnicity, race, religion, sexual orientation, politics and economic status at Gautam Buddha University.
  • Alcohol and other such things are not allowed on the college campus and serious punishment is given to those who are involved in such activities. One needs to be careful when committing such crime. There are quiet a few Bars/pubs/restaurants around campus.

Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] + Master of Technology [M.Tech] (Computer Science & Engineering), batch of 2015 4/10
ACADEMICS & FACULTY:
  • For the first three years there were regular classes from 9am to 5pm. Faculties were really good they had proper knowledge about their subject but after 3 years administration didn\'t bother about us. A big number of good faculty has left this university, most of the current faculty here are guest faculty or those who did their M.tech from here and trust me they litrally don\'t know anything. Guest faculties just come here, take attendence and leave.

Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] + Master of Business Administration [MBA], batch of 2018 5/10
ACADEMICS & FACULTY:
  • The timings differ from course to course, and lie in the brackets of 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM. It\'s a government university, where you are given equal opportunity to zeal and improve accordingly. The quality of teaching is not worth, which is common in all government univerities.
  • My experience in the college is quite good, compulsary hostel makes it worth which I think is necessary once in lifetime.
FEES AND SCHOLARSHIP:
  • It\'s all inclusive of 1,40,000(tution fee, hostel fee and mess food), scholarships are only available...
