Academics & Faculty
Know more
8 /10

The faculty are very highly qualified. Most of the faculty are extremely friendly with the students. The academic schedule runs from August to December for the odd semester and from January to May for the even semester. During the Summer vacation there is also a Fastrack semester. Classes generally run from 9 to 3 on a full day but generally after 1st year there is only one full day per week. Projects are encouraged in all departments and generally a person will get to complete 3 mini-projects and one final year project on an average before graduating from BMS. BMS has a wide variety of Engineering courses which include the core branches as well as the newer soft branches and is a great place to study. Professors are widely accessible outside classes and do like to help out.

Foreign Exhange & International Exposure
Know more
7 /10

BMS is a part of the Melton foundation program and is the only Indian University to be a part of this fellowship. Melton Fellows travel the world on different exchanges every year and our college also plays host to incoming foreign students. Generally around 10-20 people travel annually on exchange programs. They are selected rigorously through an interview process. All programs are taught in English. However you can't survive on campus without knowledge of Kannada. Kannada is a mandatory subject in the 1st year and is easy to pick up even if you're a foreign student. Chances are you'll find each and every Indian language spoken on campus. The entire cost of the foreign exchange program is borne by the college. BMS is also affiliated with the India platform, which gives our college an affiliation to the best of European universities.

Fees & Scholarship
Know more
7 /10

There are limited scholarship opportunities. The programs are partially funded by the government and hence subsidized. Scholarships are given purely on merit. Every year the toppers are felicitated and scholarships are handed out. Bank loans to finance education are widely available. On campus jobs aren't present. However after graduation if your GPA is high enough you can be given an offer to teach at the department.

Placements & Alumni Network
Know more
8 /10

Internships are offered to Final Year students by the Placement office. Offers start at around Rupees 3L/annum and go unto about 25L/annum. Our largest recruiter is TCS and all major companies come to our campus to recruit. All the students who appear for placement do get placed. Alumni network is vast as our college is very old. Every year alumni meets are held and the alumni are very accessible and approachable.

Infrastructure & Transportation

Classrooms and Labs have adequate equipment. The Libraries are vast and have excellent books. Our campus is a fully Wi-Fi enabled campus. Dining halls are good, but generally people prefer to go outside the campus as there are tastier options available outside. College is located in the heart of the city and is well connected by all transport media.
