  • Course fee at Birla Institute of Technology and Science as of 2016 is around Rs. 3 lakhs including accommodation. The course fee is subject to increase around 10% every year.
  • Birla Institute of Technology and Science provide a scholarship to students in two forms, one is Merit scholarship while the other is Merit cum need a scholarship. Anyone having a family income of less than Rs. 6 lakhs can apply for merit cum need a scholarship. The top 1% of the batch gets merit scholarship so its quite tough to get this scholarship.
  • Yes, loans are needed and they are sanctioned easily. Being one of the top colleges of India most of the banks sanction the loan easily. The most preferred one is SBI SCHOLAR Loan.

  • I am in my first year so I haven't done any internship yet. But bits has a practice school system, under which it gives industrial exposure to each and every student. Various companies are shortlisted for this industrial exposure including the IT giants such as Amazon, Microsoft and much more. The likes of Mercedes Benz, American express, Shell, Tata, and much bigger names give the students of industrial exposure.
  • Companies like Goldman Sach, JP Morgan, Morgan Stance, also hire from Birla Institute of Technology and Science. Shell, Schlumberger also come to the campus. IT giants be it google, Amazon, Flipkart, Accenture, Microsoft also come to the campus.
  • Highest salary reported in 2014 was around Rs. 1 crore 44 lakhs, however, that of 2015 is not disclosed yet.
  • Average salary of chemical is around Rs. 7 lakhs while for Computer Science it hovers around Rs. 19.5 lakhs.
  • The alumni network of bits is quite strong.

  • For admission to all programmes (except B.Pharma) in Birla Institute of Technology and Science: Candidates must have passed 12th or equivalent exam from any recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English Subjects For admission in B.Pharma: Candidates must have cleared 12th or equivalent exam with PCB or PCM group with English subject.
  • Candidates must have obtained 75% marks in PCB or PCM group. Candidates appearing in qualifying exam are also eligible to apply.
  • Aspirants who have passed 12th or equivalent exam in 2015 or earlier are not eligible to apply.
  • The BITSAT (Birla Institute of Technology & Science Admission Test) is a university level entrance test organized by Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani. It is organized to provide admission in first-year degree in various UG and PG programs like B.Tech, B.Pharma and M.Sc courses.
  • The BITS offers admission in three campuses i.e. BITS Pilani Campus, K. K. Birla Goa Campus, and Hyderabad Campus.
  • The exam is conducted once in a year through CBT (Computer Based Test) during the month of May.
