The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the e-Certificates for University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) 2021, held in December 2020 and June 2021. Therefore, candidates who have qualified for the exam can download their certificates using their application number or roll Number, and date of birth. The certificates are available on the official website at ecertificate.nta.nic.in.
Steps to Download UGC NET 2021 E-Certificate
Authorities have released the e-certificates for qualified candidates. Hence, candidates must follow the steps given below to download their certificates.
- Visit the official website – ugcnet.nta.nic.in
- On the home page, under important links click on ‘UGC NET E-certificate’.
- Now on the new page, select your institution, enter your application number, date of birth, and exam session.
- Next, click on ‘Submit’.
- Your e-certificate will be displayed on the screen.
- Finally, save and download it for future use.

About the Exam
The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) biannually. After clearing the exam candidates are eligible to apply for the post of lecturer in the universities of India. Furthermore, qualified candidates are also eligible for the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF). Additionally, the students who want to appear in this examination must have passed their post-graduation with 55% marks from a recognized university. Finally, UGC NET certificates are valid for lifetime whereas JRF certificates have a validity of three years.
The UGC NET is a computer-based test, divided into two papers and the candidates are given 3 hours to complete the exam. The first paper consists of 50 questions and the second has 100 questions. The exam is conducted in only English and Hindi.
