TNEA 2022 Counselling: Directorate of Technical Education (DoTE) has rescheduled the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) round of counselling. Moreover, the DoTE has postponed the process due to the NTA delaying the NEET UG 2022 results announcement. Since the NEET 2022 results are not out yet, the authorities want to keep the TNEA selection process on hold. Furthermore, the officials have stated that they will resume the counselling two days after the NTA’s announcement.
TNEA 2022 Counselling: Latest Update
The DoTE had scheduled the counselling for shortlisted students from 25 August onwards. However, the state education minister, Shri Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi, instructed the DoTE to pause the admissions round. He stated that it was essential to wait for the NEET 2022 results. Therefore, the DoTE will soon release the updated counselling schedule on their official website, tneaonline.org.
Furthermore, the previous commencement of the counselling round was scheduled for today, 25 August. Additionally, the TNEA counselling registration window would close by 27 August. Subsequently, the seat allotment would tentatively begin on 28 August. Be that as it may, this schedule is now invalid. The DoTE will notify the students about the new counselling schedule via an online circular. Thus, students must visit their official website regularly.
