Students of the University of Rajasthan Protest Against the Expulsion of 4 Students

The students of the University of Rajasthan staged a protest against the expulsion of 4 students. The students staged the protest in front of the Vice Chancellors office. Some of the members of the student council wore a black ribbon in protest. Students who are expelled are now moving to knock the doors of courts for relief and filed an application in the Rajasthan High Court.

What the students have to say

Students said that it was just a brawl with mess workers in last week of March this year and the discipline committee investigated the incident and expelled these students. "This is not the quantum of justice, punishment is bigger than the crime," said students. Five others were suspended in which one was from the hostel of the university. Meanwhile, university administration justified the orders of expulsion and said that proper inquiry was made in this matter and according to the rules they took such action because indiscipline will not be tolerated on the campus. Students said that they are demanding proper food in university mess since last one year but nothing was done by the university administration. They alleged that food is not proper and there was also a strike in this matter in the university but administration assured them of relief in the past.
