SRM University to begin Counseling for Engineering Courses

All parents and prospective students of B.Tech / M.Tech are invited for SRM Engineering Counseling Carnival 2017(open house) to be held between 12th May and 23rd May 2017 at the Kattankulathur Campus. The SRM Engineering Counseling Carnival will be a joint exercise of all four Campuses of SRM University. The carnival aims to provide an opportunity to the parents and prospective students to get to know of the multi- faceted professionalism of SRM University in developing future Engineers. This will assist the students in making the right choices and decisions to secure their future.

SRM University to begin Counseling from 14th May:

Entrance Examination for admission to Engineering and Technology at SRM University Kattankulathur and it is off-campus and SRM Haryana and SRM Amaravati [SRMJEEE (UG/PG)] was held between April 1 and May 1, 2017, across the Country. More than 2 lakh candidates registered out of which 1,68,527 young aspirants appeared in the entrance exam conducted in 118 centers in India. Three centers were opened in the Middle East for NRI Candidates. The admissions to the B.Tech and M.Tech programs in SRM University will be done based on the ranks in the exam. The results and the counseling schedule were announced on 2 nd May 2017 through the official SRM University website (www.srmuniv.ac.in). Counseling for admission to B.Tech has been scheduled to commence on 14 Th May 2017 and will go on up to 22 nd May 2017; and for M.Tech on 23 rd May, which will be held in SRM University Kattankulathur campus. Candidates can download their rank card, counseling call letter from the official website. On the first day, candidates who have secured ranks from 1 to 10000 will be called for counseling. Those who secured ranks from 10001 to 70000 are scheduled to be called for subsequent dates. Founder’s Scholarships will be awarded based on the rank obtained in SRMJEEE 2017 on the first day of counseling. Top 100 will get 100% waiver of tuition and hostel fees; rank 101 to 500, 75% tuition fee waiver and rank 501 to 1000, 50% tuition fee waiver. The counseling process will also apply to the new SRM University – AP, Amaravati, where only students with a board examination mark of above 60% and an SRM JEEE rank within 35,000 will be eligible to apply.
