RRB NTPC Typing Test 2022 Shift 1 Cancelled: Re-Exam Schedule Details Expected Soon
RRB NTPC typing test 2022 shift 1 got cancelled due to technical issues. The schedule for the re-exam will be announced soon.
RRB NTPC Typing Test 2022: Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has cancelled the first shift of NTPC Computer Based Typing Skills, which held on 12 August 2022. The Authority informed the candidates about the exam cancellation by releasing official notification.
The notice mentions that the re-exam will be for only those candidates who appeared for the test in the first shift, today, i.e. 12 August 2022. The re-exam date and time will be notified soon. However, The other shifts of RRB NTPC Typing test 2022 will be conducted as per the schedule.

RRB NTPC Typing Test 2022: Test Pattern
The candidates are required to type at least 300 words in English or 250 words in Hindi. The duration of the test is 10 minutes. The test is conducted online and contains three sessions:
- Typing Practice for one minute (warm up) and getting familiarize with Key Board
- Then, Break of 30 seconds
- typing test for 10 minutes (which will be evaluated)
Candidates have the liberty to write in English or Hindi based on the option they choose while filling up the form. Failing to do so, candidates will be given English by default. Candidates choosing Hindi for typing test must know how to use Krutidev or Mangla font. The Minimum speed should be 30 words per minute for English and 25 words per minute for Hindi.
RRB NTPC Typing Test 2022: Evaluation of total number of Mistakes and typing speed
Evaluation of Total typing Mistakes:
The typing mistakes of candidates is evaluated on the basis of full mistakes and half mistakes. 5% mistakes of the total words typed by a candidate will not be taken into consideration. However, Apart from the 5% mistakes, the evaluation of mistakes will be done through the following formula:
- Number of full mistakes + Number of half mistakes/2 = Total typing Mistakes
- Total typing mistakes – 5% mistakes of the total words typed = Final count of typing mistakes
Evaluation of typing speed:
The Typing speed of the candidates will be evaluated through the following formula:
- Typing speed of the candidate = No. of total words typed by a candidate – (Final count of mistakes x 10)/Time
