"Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education will accept applications for REET 2022 (Rajasthan Eligibility Test for Teachers) starting April 18."
RBSE will commence the REET 2022 application process starting April 18. The application window will remain open until May 18. The authorities will conduct the exam on July 23 as well as July 24.
The government had announced on February 7 that they would re-conduct the REET 2021 Level-2 exam due to allegations of several discrepancies. The authorities will now conduct the exam for 62,000 posts instead of the remaining 32,000 posts. Those giving the re-exam do not need to pay the application fees again. The administration will also provide all the subsidiary facilities that were present during the earlier REET 2022 exam. Earlier, Secretary of BSER Meghna Choudhary had stated that the exam dates might change, subject to the availability of exam centres.
Meanwhile, the authorities have made some other changes to the REET 2022. Through Twitter, Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot announced that the REET exam would be valid in the state for a lifelong. Earlier, the validity was up to seven years, which the RBSE later reduced to three years. General candidates must score at least 60% marks for qualifying for the exam. On the other hand, SC and ST candidates need to score at least 36% marks.
The aspirant must be at least 18-years-old, while there is no upper age limit. The candidate needs to have a bachelor’s degree in education, but more details may vary as per specific posts.
