NIRF (National Institutional Ranking Framework) was approved by Ministry of Human Research Development and was launched by the Minister of Human Resource Development in 2015. The method of ranking is based on overall recommendations of the core committee constituted by the MHRD itself. It judges and ranks the institutions on the parameters of teaching, learning and researchers. It also takes into account the academic outcome of the institution and its outreach programmes.
