Rai University now registered at National Digital Library

Rai University is now registered at National Digital Library which provides an array of opportunities for its staff and students.Ministry of Human Resource Development under its National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology has put forth the National Digital Library (NDL) pilot project to develop a framework of a virtual repository in order to get access to its learning resources. NDL can hold the content of any language and provides interface support for vernacular languages. It has been developed to help students to prepare for University Entrances and competitive examinations and to facilitate research in different fields.

The Beneficial Features of NDL is that it provides material for users ranging from primary to post graduate levels. The repository integrates content from different Indian Institutional Universities. The repository holds contents from multiple domains like Technology, Agriculture, Sciences, Humanities and others. The content includes Books, Articles, Thesis, Audio Lectures, and various other prominent sources. The pilot project is devising a framework suitable for future scale up with respect to content volume and diversity to become a full-blown National Digital Library of India over time. It is being developed at IIT Kharagpur.
