NEET PG 2018 results announced

The National Board of Examination(NBE) announced NEET PG 2018 results on the 23rd of January 2018.

NEET PG is an eligibility-cum-ranking examination conducted for admission to various MD/MS and PG Diploma Courses offered by the premier and Top Medical/Dental Institutions across India.

The exam was conducted on 7th January 2018. The result of NEET PG 2018 was supposed to be declared on January 31, 2018, according to the information brochure, however, it had been announced on January 23, 2018. Candidates can check the official website for the scorecard, rank list, merit list, and cut-offs. Rank is awarded only to those candidates who qualify by getting marks equal to or more than cut off and only qualified candidates can participate in counselling for NEET PG 2018 at all-India, as well as state levels.

The cut-off score for general category students is 321 and for Physically handicapped students is 300. The cut off score for SC / ST / OBC / SC-PH / ST-PH / OBC-PH students is 281.

For NEET PG 2018, there are actually two different types of rank lists. One is the merit position of rank that you see on the scorecard. The other is specific to the state where you will be appearing for state-level counselling

Based on your rank you can get admission to the following places:-

  1. All India 50% quota seats for MD/MS/PG Diploma courses (all states except Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Jammu & Kashmir)
  2. State quota seats for MD/MS/PG Diploma courses for all States/Union territories of India (including the states of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana & Jammu & Kashmir)
  3. MD/MS/PG Diploma courses at all Private Medical Colleges, Institutions & Universities/Deemed Universities all across the country
  4. MD/MS/PG Diploma courses at Armed Forces Medical Services Institutions.
  5. DNB Broad specialty courses (January 2018 Admission Session).
