NEET Counselling 2022: Free Exit & Exit With Forfeiture Focal Points
The basic outline of a counselling round includes – registration for counselling, choice filling, fee payment, seat allotment, and campus reporting. Similarly, for NEET 2022, once the MCC assigns the seats to students, they must report to the respective campus, get the authorities to verify their documents, and pay the admission fee. Nonetheless, if the student does not report to the campus, their application is carried forward to the subsequent rounds of counselling. Therefore, they are not subject to penalty. Their payment of the counselling fee remains valid for the next counselling rounds. As a result, when a student voluntarily declines admission to a particular institute by not reporting after seat allotment, it is known as Free Exit from NEET Counselling 2022. Albeit, a free exit is only possible after the first round of counselling.
On the other hand, students who decline the invitation to accept a seat after the second round of NEET Counselling, Exit With Forfeiture. This means that they would forfeit their NEET Counselling 2022 fee. The MCC will not refund the fee to the students if they do not accept the college and course allotted. Furthermore, they are not eligible for the NEET Counselling 2022 mop-up rounds or State Counselling.
