LPU raising Educational Standards in India day by day
The Engineering programmes at LPU are highly acclaimed, cutting edge, and niche. It’s unique curricula and sound placement history has attracted students from the remotest corners of the country. Where people from north India headed to the south, east, and west for quality engineering education, LPU has effected a reversal in trend.
This is largely due to LPU’s unique pedagogy and niche programs such as Mechatronics, Automobile, and Oil & Petroleum Engineering which are benchmarked against the top-ranked universities in the world.
The MNC ways'
At the present moment, LPU engineering students are working with prestigious global companies like Google, Microsoft, Apple, Amazon and others, at salary packages of more than Rs. 1 Crore. Corporates like Cognizant, Tech Mahindra, Amazon and many other have offered coveted placements to LPU students, in some cases setting new placement records. In this context, LPU Chancellor Mr Ashok Mittal says, “The engineering curriculum at LPU is designed in such a way that our students and faculty make new strides in the areas of research, industry and academics.”
LPU has a strong academia-industry connect, and has also collaborated with top global companies to provide industry immersion to its engineering students. The university has industry partnerships with Google, Cisco, Oracle, SAP, Microsoft and others to equip students with high industry versatility.
Nurturing the keen ones is definitely a must
The university also offers various opportunities to its students to work directly on live and entrepreneurial projects, which provides them great insights into the latest trends in technology and leadership in the corporate world. LPU students gain on-site experiences through industry internships with corporate giants like Cognizant, Microsoft, Infosys, and ISRO to name a few.
LPU fosters a research oriented and creative approach to engineering, in its students. Here, mechanical engineering students create solar, hybrid, driverless and mobile operated cars; computer applications & engineering students create Mobile Apps, and Electrical & Electronics students come out with drones. Interdisciplinary collaboration is especially encouraged at LPU, and a team of engineering students from various branches have come together, recently, to compete in a NASA Challenge at the US Space and Rocket Center.
