Naval Architecture & Marine Engineering and Geomatics Engineering were included as two new subjects in the GATE 2023 by the exam authorities. The GATE 2023 exam date is February 4, 5, 11, and 12.

GATE 2023 Marking Scheme
Below is the marking scheme mentioned as per the official notification.
- In GATE 2023, General Aptitude and Engineering Mathematics will be compulsory sections which include 15% weightage each in total marks as per the GATE 2023 Question Paper Pattern with codes AE, AG, BT, CE, CH, CS, EC, EE, IN ME, MN, MT, PE, PI, TF, and XE. The remaining 70% weightage will be given to the subject selected by the student.
- According to the GATE 2023 Question Paper Pattern AR, CY, EY, GG, MA, PH, ST, and XL will be a compulsory section of General Aptitude (15% of the total marks). The remaining 85% weightage will be given to the selected subject.
