EMPI in the 9th edition of the “World Renewable Energy Technology Congress [WRETC]”
The three-day mega event of The 9th Edition of the “World Renewable Energy Technology Congress [WRETC]” and expo was held on 21st-23rd August 2018. It was organized by RITMS Pvt. Ltd. with the support of Energy and Environment Foundation. EMPI Business School and MNRE Government of India were the knowledge partners of this conference. The venue of this event was Pravasi Bhartiya Kendra, Chanakyapuri New Delhi.
“Renewable Energy Solutions for a Sustainable Future” was the theme of the event. The EMPIans also participated in this mega event with 75 students consisting of juniors and seniors acting as representatives on behave of the Business School. They were involved in taking care of the management services which helped in organising the event. Representatives and Speakers from 20 nations participated in this event along with numerous corporate personnel. Appreciation Certificates were awarded to the students on the last day of the event.
The International Conference on “Framework for Sustainable Solar Industry”
The young managers of EMPI participated in the third edition of “Framework for Sustainable Solar Industry” International Conference which took place on 30th August 2018. The conference was based on Leveraging the strengths of India and partnering countries to overcome the challenges and opportunities in the road to achieve the goal of Solar Energy which is an initiative of ICMEI, IASRD and ASSOCHAM.
The event was attended by some of the big shots of the industry who shared their views on the current and future obstacles and opportunities in the energy sector. It was a huge opportunity for all the EMPI participants who are interested to move forward in this sector.
IYF Workshop on Mind Development
The one day workshop of International Youth Federation [IYF] on Mind Development took place on 24th August 2018. It was solely organized for the EMPI students of 2018-20 batch. Conducted by Prof. Kim Soo Yeon, Director of International Mind Education Institute, the workshop aimed to create awareness among the youth about the mind. The workshop moved around how to focus one’s mind for a happy life and keeping the mind under control.
It was an eye-opening event. The workshop also showcased other talents of the members of IYF with their Dance and Musical performances. The EMPIans got to participate in various team leadership games and were taught group behaviour and team attitude.
Merit Award Ceremony and Renaissance Day 2018
Both these events took place on 11th August, the day when all the EMPIans came together in joy to celebrate their hard work and achievements. The event was graced by the presence of the Chief Guest Mr. Sumit Gupta [Country Head], MacDonald Global Pelz, and the Guest of Honour Mr. Ved Ratan Bajpai [National Business Head – NDTV Telecom].
The ceremony started with Saraswati Vandana and lightening of the lamp followed by an oath ceremony. The Chief Guest and Guest of Honour blessed the students with their gracious words of wisdom. This was followed by awarding the students for their academic and all-round efforts.
72nd Independence Day Celebration in EMPI
On Wednesday, the 72nd Independence Day was celebrated at the premises of EMPI. The event moved forward with the hoisting of the National Flag which was followed by cultural events.
The event was graced by the presence of the Honourable Vice President Mr. Pankaj Saran who motivated the students with his encouraging and enlightening thoughts. The students performed the “Nukkad Natak” provoking the anti-corruption thoughts among the viewers. It was a special day celebrated with great zeal and enthusiasm.
The Corporate Expectations Experiential Lab
The Corporate Experiential Lab [CEEL] sessions were a three-day event which took place on 3rd,4th, and 20th of August. The event was honoured with the presence of the guest like Mr. Kovid Batra [Co-founder of Green Labs, Delhi], Mr. Abhishek Sharma [Account Director – Hakuhodo India] and Dr. Shyama Ramani [Professional fellow – UNU Merit, Maastricht, NL].
The students got to learn a great deal from the guest who shared their knowledge and experience. Dr. Ramani talked about how emission, energy leakage, and waste can be minimised by narrowing, slowing, and closing energy and material loops. Mr. Abhishek Sharma talked about Brand Building, establishing and promoting a company using various tactics and strategies. It was a very informative, interactive and motivational event for all of the participants.
SAHYOG – A Noble Cause
The CSR club of EMPI organized a social campaign called “SAHYOG V” with the objective of helping the Kerela victims. The campaign was organized from 20th August to 26th August. The victims were provided with Blankets and Woolens, ropes, mosquito nets, cookers, utensils, matchboxes, water purifier tablets, mugs, buckets, and many more. Apart from this, the CSR Club collected Pulses, rice, spices, tea, coconut oil and sugar. All the items were delivered to the victims in Kerela through “GOONJ” the NGO.
The Food Fiesta – An Initiative for Emerging Entrepreneurs
The students of the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Club conducted the immensely successful Food Fiesta in the Janakpuri District Centre.
The students embraced their inner chefs by creating various fusion recipes for the fiesta. The fiesta gave the students the opportunity to learn and experience the dos and don’ts of marketing, advertising, and sales. All of the food stalls from the fiesta were crowded with hungry and curious people on the weekend Saturday. It was an amazing boost up for the morals of the students.
