CUET UG 2022: According to the National Testing Agency, at least 12 candidates scored 100 normalised percentile in all five subjects. While in the debut edition of the Common University Entrance Test-UG, 104 students got the perfect score in four subjects. Subsequently, the University Grants Commission (UGC) revealed that the rank lists would be prepared by universities based on “normalised” scores. Note that, the raw marks and percentile would not be taken into consideration by the authorities in CUET UG 2022.
CUET UG 2022: List of Subjects and Number of Students to Score 100 Percentile
The subjects below are ranked according to the maximum number of students to score 100 percentile.
- English – 8,236 Candidates
- Political Science- 2,065 Candidates
- Business Studies – 1,669 Candidates
- Biology – 1000+
- Economics – 1000+
- Sociology – 1000+
Note: The subjects with the maximum number of 100 percentile indicate that the cutoffs for college admissions in these subjects are likely to be high.
In CUET UG 2022, a total of 21,159 candidates — 12,799 female and 8,360 male students — have scored 100 percentile in at least one subject. Like the Board Exams, Many girls outshone the boys in the entrance exam. Among the 12, 7 students who scored 100 percentile in five subjects are girls. Moreover, 76 girls scored 100 percentile in four subjects. The results also indicate that admission to the sciences would be relatively easier due to the subject score. For humanities and commerce courses, admission to sought-after colleges will remain difficult.
