CAT Exam 2022: Reasons Why the IIM CAT is Gaining Popularity
CAT, also known as the IIM-CAT, is one of India's most sought-after MBA admission tests. It was established by the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) to smoothen the procedure for admissions to the most coveted management institute in the country, the IIMs. However, over the years, other B-schools in the country started accepting CAT results to grant students admission. Be that as it may, the CAT Exam 2022 has received an 11% increase in the number of applications compared to the previous year. Besides, a 6% increase is recorded in the reserved category applications for the IIM CAT 2022. Here are some of the factors:
- Student-Centric Application Portal - the authorities made changes to the online application web portal and tried making the interface more user-friendly.
- Better Campaigning - digital marketing on the CAT Exam 2022 and regularly publishing news on its application deadline and other vital information resulted in spreading awareness. As more candidates became aware, more number of them showed an interest, which led to an increase in the applications. Digital marketing helped target a specific demographic of candidates.
- Non-IIM Colleges' Online Presence - IIM-Bangalore, the CAT exam conducting body, hosts the CAT website. This year, they included details on other participating institutes. With cut-throat competition, many candidates know that their chances of cracking into an IIM are very low. With adequate knowledge of other institutes, applicants confidently applied for CAT 2022, intending to get admission to other reputed colleges.
- Greater Reach - authorities have announced that over 150 cities would host CAT 2022. Consequently, many applicants showed interest in applying for the MBA admission test. In addition, more exam centres encouraged the backward class and reserved category candidates to apply for the exam.
Furthermore, the IIM CAT 2022 exam admit card is expected to release on Oct 27. Applicants must visit the official CAT Exam 2022 website to download it.
