ICFAI Business School Aptitude Test(2017) is also known as IBSAT 2017 a national level computer based test for those who are seeking for admission in MBA & PGPM programs. IBSAT exam is for promoting the Post Graduate students for higher ground of education through the 8 ICFAI business school campus.
The timeline of the examination this year starts with the application date which is released by the 1st of July and the gateway is open till 12th of December. The exam date has been tentatively declared from 21st to 24th December.
A peek into the overview of the sections:
IBSAT is a major competitive exam which requires an elaborate level of preparation months before the exam starts. Personal experiences of students reveal that the English usage and reading comprehension section has been getting a lot of traction and is the major gamechanger with respect to the exam this year rather than quantitative ability even though the marks allotted for all of them are the same, that is 30 out of 120. The data interpretation section has been effective in terms of scoring as well. The marking scheme is relaxed as there is no negative marking for the exams this year. But opinions differ as well because some of the students who scored a total of 25 out of 30 in data interpretation have fared way low in the english comprehension section.
The main agenda of a student should be to ensure that the skills on each section is adept as there is no harm in attempting all the questions unlike other competitive exams just because other exams have downmarking.
IBSAT – Just the first step to a glorious beginning at ICFAI
Every student must keep in mind that performing well in IBSAT alone does not ensure an MBA seat in IBS, but it’s just the first stage in the selection process of IBS , which is followed by the second stage where GD/PI will have to be taken up by the students who have performed reasonably well in IBSAT and have been selected for the second stage. Conversion of people cracking the PI over the years has been qute low with a conversion rate of only about 40 % from the previous rounds this has been mainly because of the increasing number of applications being received every year.
All the best for IBSAT 2017
