AICTE Doctoral Fellowship Scheme 2022: IIIT Delhi Starts Registration Process for PhD Programmes @iiitd.ac.in

AICTE Doctoral Fellowship Scheme 2022: The Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Delhi is now accepting online applications from interested and eligible candidates for admission to its PhD programme through the AICTE Doctoral Fellowship Scheme 2022.

The IIIT Delhi is offering PhD programme in computer science and engineering (CSE), electronics and communications engineering (ECE), and computational biology (CB) under the AICTE Doctoral Fellowship Scheme 2022.

For the first two years of the AICTE Doctoral Fellowship (ADF) programme, the scholar will get a fellowship of Rs 31,000 per month, followed by Rs 35,000 per month for the third year. Additionally, HRA will be given per the Government of India (GOI) regulations in effect in the city or location where the research fellow is pursuing their research. Additionally, the scholars will be eligible for a contingency grant of Rs 15,000 per year to cover additional costs. IIIT Delhi will also offer further financial assistance for other expenses like laptop purchases, Overseas Research Fellowships (ORF), travel for research, salary increases, etc.

Eligibility Criteria: AICTE Doctoral Fellowship Scheme 2022

Candidates aspiring for admission to PhD programmes under the AICTE Doctoral Fellowship Scheme 2022 must have obtained the minimum percentage of the education required for eligibility, which is 70% (69.5% and above) for General/OBC candidates and 65% (64.5% and above) for SC/ST/Physically Handicapped (PH) candidates for Undergraduate and Postgraduate studies. Without regard to percentage, candidates must have earned a minimum cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 7.5 on a scale of 10 or an equivalent grade at the undergraduate and graduate levels; for SC/ST/PH candidates, the minimum CGPA requirement is 7.0 on a scale of 10. In addition, the candidate should have received a GATE or NET qualification within five years.

Furthermore, the Admission to PhD programme under the AICTE Doctoral Fellowship Scheme 2022 will be given based on the candidate’s performance in the Interview and on the academic records, statement of purpose, etc. However, the final selection will be mainly on the basis of academic credentials and Interview.
