Kerala SSLC Syllabus 2022

Kerala board has a Department of Curriculum Textbooks and Evaluation, whose task involves preparing and revising curriculum and textbooks of different school subjects for all classes and preparing handbooks for teachers in eight different languages. Different faculties under DCET prepare the curriculum for the respective subjects. The syllabus is released at the beginning of every session. It forms the basis for teaching students throughout the academic session. Students should go through the syllabus to understand the contents of the subjects. Kerala SSLC Syllabus 2022

State Council of Educational Research and Training [SCERT]

Here is some additional information for candidates to read through to better understand SCERT:

  • SCERT (Kerala) functions as a state-level R&D institute that provides guidance, support, and assistance to the state's education department. It promotes activities to improve the quality of elementary and secondary education and teacher training.

  • SCERT is concerned with the academic aspects of school education, including curriculum formulation, preparation of textbooks, teachers' handbooks, and teacher training.

  • SCERT conducts research studies, information system development, forms policies for the curriculum, and instructional materials to achieve the goal. It conducts in-service training for teachers at all levels.

  • The academic activities and programs of SCERT are carried out by the various departments/units. SCERT plans and co-ordinates all academic projects and programs in the state.

  • SCERT also takes into consideration the government's policy changes related to school education.
