SCOLE Kerala Time Table 2021

State Council for Open and Lifelong Education (SCOLE) Kerala was established in the year 1999. The office of SCOLE Kerala is situated in Vidya Bhavan, Thiruvananthapuram. It came into existence with the aim of promoting education at the state level. SCOLE Kerala conducts the examinations for Kerala plus two, plus one, and SSLC level.

SCOLE Exam Time Table 2021

Notification regarding Secondary and Sr. Secondary board exam timetable for the academic year 2021-22 will be released on the official website- scolekerala.org and the exams will be conducted in March 2021 (tentative). The timetable for SCOLE 10th/12th board will be released by the board online in December 2020 (tentative).

How to download SCOLE 10th/12th Board Time Table 2021?

Following are the steps for the candidates to download SCOLE 10th/12th board time 2021 from the official website of the board:

Step 1: Candidates need to visit the official website of the SCOLE Kerala- scolekerala.org

Step 2: Scroll down to the "Downloads" section at the right bottom of the homepage.

Step 3: Click on the link that says exam notification for higher secondary.

Step 4: The PDF including the timetable for the board exams will be displayed on the screen.

Step 5: Download the PDF file and take a printout of the same for future reference.

Kerala Plus Two Time Table 2021

Board will provide the timetable for SCOLE exams 2021 in the following section. The practical examinations will be conducted from the first week of February 2021 (tentative). Subjects without practicals will be conducted from 9.45 A.M to 12.30 P.M (tentative) including cool off time of 15 minutes for reading the question paper. Subjects with practicals except for Biology & Music will be conducted from 9.45 A.M to 12.00 P.M (tentative) along with the cool off time of 15 minutes.

Biology exams will be scheduled from 9.45 A.M to 12.10 P.M (tentative) including the cool off time of a total of 20 minutes in which 10 minutes each for Botany and Zoology. An extra 5 minutes of preparatory time will be given for the Zoology exam. Music exams are usually conducted in the time slot of 9.45 A.M to 11.30 A.M (tentative) including 15 minutes of cool off time.

SCOLE Kerala Exam Pattern 2021

Following are the key points for the candidates regarding the SCOLE Kerala exam pattern 2021: 

a) The total combined scores of first and second-year examinations of each subject shall be 200.

b) The result of the examination shall be determined by the combined scores of first and second-year examinations, taken together, and grades obtained thereupon by the candidate.

c) To become eligible for higher studies, a candidate should obtain a D+ grade or above in all the subjects. To attain a D+ grade for a subject, a minimum of 30% of the aggregate score of CE, PE, and TE should be obtained (ie., 60 scores should be obtained) with a separate score of a minimum of 30% in terminal evaluation. The minimum score required for subjects with practical evaluation is 36 and for subjects without practical evaluation is 48.

d) For securing a D+ grade in music, a separate 30% minimum score of terminal evaluation well as practical evaluation should be maintained.

e) D+ grade for Biology shall be decided by taking the scores of Botany and Zoology together and hence a separate minimum for Botany and Zoology is not required.

f) Candidates who are absent for second-year higher secondary examination in any subject shall be treated as ‘absent’ for that subject even if they have appeared for that subject in the first-year higher secondary examination. For determining the grade in a subject, appearance in the first-year and second-year examination of that subject is compulsory.

SCOLE Kerala Exam Eligibility Criteria

Following are the key points for the candidates regarding the SCOLE Kerala exam eligibility criteria 2021:

a) Candidates admitted to the higher secondary course through school/open school during the academic year 2019–2020 and who have appeared for all subjects in the first-year higher secondary examination March 2020 and first-year higher secondary improvement/supplementary examination July/August 2020.

b) Candidates admitted to the higher secondary course through school/open school and who had appeared for all subjects at any of the first-year higher secondary examination conducted from March 2009 onwards, but were unable to register for the second-year higher secondary examination, can register for this examination if they have obtained re-admission to the second-year course through school/open school in 2021. The first-year scores obtained by these candidates will be retained and they are not eligible for appearing first Year higher Secondary Improvement Examination for the subjects they had already appeared in.

c) Candidates admitted to the second-year higher secondary course from other boards or institutions and who registered and appeared for all subjects as lateral entry candidates at the first-year higher secondary Improvement examination in 2020.

Following are the key points for the candidates regarding the SCOLE Kerala exam preparation tips 2021:

  • Choose the right time to study and the right place to study. The comfort zone for every individual varies.

  • Reviewing and revising at least once a week is very advantageous for all candidates to score good marks. The frequent revision helps each candidate to catch all concepts clearly.

  • Increase your study time during exams. Discover your own learning style, every individual has their own style of learning. The acoustic learner generally learns by listening while visual learners learn by seeing.
  • Hence, you should find a study space and a regular study time and should stick with it. A calm, comfortable, and distraction-free atmosphere are necessary while studying.

  • Never hesitate to ask for help if you are stuck on something. Talk to your guides and teachers about the things you don’t understand. 

  • Make regular studying a habit. Studying every day helps you to understand concepts easily. Also, it helps to reduce the last-minute stress cramming.
