The board has revised the admission fee for class 10th and 12th students seeking admission in Jammu and Kashmir State Open School (JKSOS). However, the fee for the migration certificate, duplicate marks certificate or qualification certificate, photocopy of answer script will remain the same. 

Furthermore, the JKSOS will start class 10th & 12th final examination JKSOS registration form 2024 process in October. There will be no further extension of the JKSOS registration form 2024 dates. The JKSOS registration form 2024 for the JKSOS board exam will be released online on the board's official website - jksos.co.in for candidates to apply.

The board has revised the admission fee for open school exam classes 10th and 12th. As per the revised fee structure, the detailed admission fees for classes 10 and 12 for the academic year 2023-24 are mentioned below.

Procedure for Admission via Accredited Institutions

The allotted percentage of seats for admission of learners will be reserved for study centres to be filled up on a first-come, first-served basis by them. 

  • Students must apply on the prescribed admission JKSOS registration form 2024, enclosed with the prospectus, through the identified Accredited Institution. 
  • Read all the instructions carefully before filling up the admission form. 
  • Submit the filled-up JKSOS registration form 2024 for admission, relevant documents, and requisite fees to the Accredited Institution as seats are limited. 
  • After that, the Accredited Institutions will give students a provisional admission letter-cum-receipt upon receiving the filled-up JKSOS registration form 2024 and the fee. 
  • JKSOS will then confirm the admission through the Accredited Institutions subject to completing all formalities with a fee receipt. 
  • There is no upper age limit for admission. However, the minimum age limit for admission is 14 years.

Note: Supporting documents to be taken along with include:

  • Attested copy of the birth certificate issued by the Municipal Authority or district office of the registrar of births.

                                   Or

  • Transfer certificate/ school leaving certificate showing applicant's date of birth, issued by the last school attended by the applicant. In the case of Govt. schools, the transfer certificate/SLC should be signed by the principal. In contrast, in the case of private schools, SLC issued should be countersigned by the competent education authority of the state or Chief Education Officer.

How to Apply for JKSOS Admission?

  • Allotted seats for admission will be reserved for study centres to be filled upon.

  • Apply on the prescribed application form enclosed along with the prospectus through the identified accredited institution.

  • Read all the instructions carefully before filling out the admission form.

  • Submit your filled-up application form for admission along with relevant documents and requisite fee to the Accredited Institution at the earliest.

  • The Accredited Institution will give you a provisional admission letter-cum-receipt upon receiving the filled-up application form along with the fee. 

  • JKSOS will confirm your admission through the Accredited Institutions subject to completing all formalities and fee payments.

Documents Required with JKSOS Admission

Candidates have to send the scanned copy/soft copy (jpg, jpeg files) of the following documents, which must be uploaded while filling JKBOSE open board admission form 2024.

  1. Recent passport size color photograph
  2. Signature (preferably in black ink)
  3. Valid identity proof (like aadhar card or passport or ration card etc.)
  4. Valid proof of date of birth
  5. A valid proof of residence
  6. Class 8th mark sheet or self-certificate (in case of secondary course). Class 10th mark sheet (in case of senior secondary course)
  7. Social category/caste certificate (in case the learner belongs to SC/ST/OBC social category).
  8. Disability certificate (in case he or she has any)
