The admission procedure for BA in Sri Venkateswara College, Delhi University, New Delhi is given below,

Admission Procedure ::

Applicants can access the Online Admission facility by logging on to the college portal at www.svc.ac.in. Applications must be submitted online. The application fee has to be paid through
 
 
Pay Order or Demand draft of Rs 120/- drawn in favour of “The Principal, SRI VENKATESWARA COLLEGE, New Delhi” drawn on any scheduled bank. This is to be submitted with the application.
 
Please note the steps for application:
 
1. The pre-application form to the college is to be filled and submitted online. A receipt will be generated online.
2. On show of a printout of the receipt, a copy of the college prospectus may be collected from college.
This means the forms have to be filled online. A hard copy of the same needs to be submitted to the college between 9AM to 1 PM on the days notified.
 
 
Admission Counselling
 
From the day the forms are made available for sale to the last date for submission, a pre-admission counselling cell will be set up to answer queries and give general admission guidelines. The cell will function between 9:30 am - 1:00 pm on dates that will be displayed on the college notice board. We welcome you to visit the cell and we will be happy to answer any queries relating to admission.
 
In addition, the teachers of the respective departments will be happy to answer any queries relating to admission.
 
Requirements For Admission To Sri Venkateswara College (svc)
 
Candidates who have passed the Senior School Certificate Examination (Class 12) of the Central Board of Secondary Education or a recognised equivalent examination are eligible to apply.
 
For all applicants, the aggregate required for admission will be calculated on the basis of marks secured in one language and three other elective subjects. N.B. English should have been one of the subjects passed at the class XII level since it is the medium of instruction in SVC. The House Examinations, Tutorials/ Preceptorials are also conducted in ENGLISH only. 
 
Apart from these general criteria, different departments have evolved their specific criteria. These details are given in the Table below under the head, 'Guidelines for Assessment of Merit'.
 
Meeting the above requirements does not automatically guarantee the applicant's admission to the course of his/her choice. Canvassing of any kind will mean disqualification of the candidate. The decision of the admission committee and the Principal in this regard will be final.
 
Attention Parents and Guardians
 
We expect applicants to SVC to be capable of handling the admission formalities on their own. We treat your wards as adults and hope this confidence is maintained. Nonetheless, ONE parent/guardian needs to be present at the time of admission to sign the application form. Parents are also required to sign the mandatory affidavit against ragging on a Rs 10/- non-judicial form (Proforma enclosed)
 
1.    There is no Pre-Admission form to be filled for admissions into under graduate courses in this
       academic session i.e.__________.
 
2.    First cut-off list will be declared on _______________. Kindly check the College Website/Notice
      Board for authentic and full Information.
 
3.    One needs to apply on prescribed forms for admission under ECA and Sports quotas after the
      first Cut-off list i.e. from _______________________________.
 
4.    Exact trail details/dates will be put on College Notice Board and website.
 
5.    For admissions, please get the following Originals and one set Photocopies of the same
      with you :
 
  • XIIth Marksheet
  • Xth Pass Certificate
  • Character Certificate
  • Provisional Certificate issued by the school last attended.
  • 3 Passport Size Photographs
  • Demand Draft on any bank drawn in the favour of the "Principal, Sri Venkateswara College, New Delhi" Payable at Delhi for the required amount of fees/Credit card /Debit Card
 
6.  KINDLY NOTE THAT ALL FEE WOULD BE ACCEPTABLE ONLY BY Demand Draft/pay order/debit
     card/credit card. Cash payment will not be accepted.
 
7. Please note that only the candidate would be allowed to enter the admission rooms.
    Parents/Guardians or any other person accompanying the candidates will have to wait
    in lawns or in the canteen area.
 
8.    All quotas like SC/ST, Armed forces, PH/VH/OH, Bhutanese, Foreign Students etc. are
      administered by University of Delhi directly. Students seeking admission under these quota
       may contact relevant cells of D.U.
 
9.    OBC admission would be done by the college itself. Reservations are for only those castes which
       find place in the central OBC List.
 
10.    OBC certificates must be in the name of the candidate or proof of student having applied for
        issue of such OBC certificate in her/his name.
 
11.    Candidates have to furnish non-creamy layer certificate at the time of admission.
 
12.    The admissions are NOT on First come First Serve basis. Admission for a particular course will
        be granted provisionally, to a candidate after fulfilling the eligibility conditions for the said
        course, as per the cut-off list announced by the college, within the stipulated time, in
        accordance with the schedule of the Delhi University.

Hey! To get admission into Sri Venkateswara College you simply have to fill the online pre admission form available at DU website. All you need to do after that is wait for the cutoff list of the particular college you want admission into. If your marks match the cutoff list you can take admission into that college.
