ELIGIBILITY & PROCEDURE FOR ADMISSION
 
Eligibility to Appear in UPSEE-2016 for Admission in First year of B.Tech.- Candidate must have clearly passed intermediate examination of U. P. Board or 10+2 level examination or its equivalent from any recognized Board / University; The candidate must have clearly passed with minimum 45% marks for general & OBC and 40% for SC/ST candidates  without grace in required each compulsory subjects and one optional subject taken together. 
 
The candidates appearing in the qualifying examination are also eligible to appear in UPSEE-2016 subject to the condition they must fulfill the eligibility criteria at the time of admission.
Compulsory Subjects - Physics & Mathematics
Anyone of the Subjects- Chemistry, Bio-Technology, Biology or Technical Vocational Subject
 
Seats Under Different Scheme  
A. Through Utter Pradesh State Entrance Examination of 2016 (UPSEE-2016)-.
 
(i)State Govt. has permitted 15% of total sanctioned seats available in Private Institutions to be filled by the NRI candidates under Management quota; and the same shall be filled up in accordance with the procedure prescribed in the Govt. orders. The remaining seats in various courses be filled through UPSEE-2016 counselling.
 
(II) State Govt. has permitted 10% of total sanctioned seats available in Technology/Architecture courses in private institutions affiliated to AKTU to be filled through combined merit of U.P. domicile and non U.P. domicile candidates without reservation subject to eligibility conditions given in the broucher.Thus,10% of the total sanctioned seats in technology/Architecture courses in private institutions,affiliated to AKTU,shall also be opend to tha candidates whose parents belongs to the state othaer than U.P. and has passed qualifying examination from an institute loacated outside U.P.These seats shall be filled on the basisi of UPSEE-2016 merit.
 
(iii) Thus, 85% of the seats available in B.Tech-1st Year will be filled by the UPSEE-2016 qualified candidates, who have passed the qualifying examination from any institution located in U.P. or whose parents are domicile of U.P subject to the eligibility conditions given in this information brochure. If the candidate has passed qualifying examination from outside of U.P., he/she has to produce domicile certificate of his/her parents (Father OR Mother only) before the starting date of counselling
 
B. Admission at Institute Level against Management Quota Seats(For NRI Candidates) and Vacant Seats after UPSEE-2016Counselling-
(i) The 15% seats‡ in private institutions shall be filled by the NRI candidates at institute level under
management quota as per eligibility criteria . The vacant seats in NRI/Management quota or
vacant seats after counseling of UPSEE-2016 shall be filled strictly in following preference order, within fifteen days of the last date of counseling:
 
(1) Firstly , by the qualified candidates of JEE-MAINS-2016 fulfilling the eligibility Their relative merit will be decided on their rank in respective entrance examinations.  
 
(2) Secondly, by the qualified candidates of JEE-MAINS-2016 fulfilling the eligibility Their relative merit will be decided on their rank in respective entrance examinations.
 
(3) Thirdly, by the merit of candidates in qualifying (10+2) examination , A candidate must have passed intermediate examination of U. P. Board or 10+2 level examination or its equivalent from any recognized Board / University; securing minimum 50% (45% for SC/ST) marks in required subject combination (two compulsory & one optional) taken together. The candidate is essentially required to pass without any grace marks (as per respective Board/University) in each subject of the subject group. The relative merit shall be decided based on total marks in subject combination qualifying examination.
