  1. Its nearly INR 6-10 thousand per year according to course n category 
  2. There is also an exam fee per semester which is nearly INR 600-1000 according to your subjects n practical

General Information

  • Admissions to the first year of undergraduate courses offered in the college will be in accordance with the schedule specified by the University of Delhi for the academic session 2016-2017 (www.du.ac.in)
  • All admissions will be made by the College Admission Committee.
  • Only eligible students will be given admission in accordance with the announced merit-based criteria.
  • For admission to any course, there may be different cut-off percentages for students from different streams, i.e., Science, Commerce and Humanities.
  • Rounding-off of fractions to determine eligibility is not permissible.
  • The cutoff marks which are the basis of admission to the college will be displayed on the notice board, from time to time, in accordance with the University schedule during the admission period.
  • There will be separate cut-offs for General, SC, ST, OBC and PwD Category students
  • The college retains its right to seek verification of information submitted from competent authorities. Concealment or misrepresentation of any material information is liable to lead to cancellation of admission, in addition to appropriate legal action.
  • No individual intimation will be sent regarding acceptance or rejection of any application.

Admission Procedure

Admission form

Eligible candidates are required to fill the College Admission Form available from the office at the time of admission.

Submission of original documents

The applicants shall be required to submit the following self-attested documents along with the application form in original:

  • Class X Board Examination Certificate
  • Class X Marks Sheet
  • Class XII Marks Sheet
  • Class XII Provisional Certificate / Original Certificate
  • Character Certificate (recent)
  • SC / ST Certificate (in the name of the candidate) issued by the competent authority.
  • OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) Certificate (in the name of the Candidate) issued by competent authority.
  • Transfer Certificate from school /college as well as Migration Certificate from Board/University are required from those students who have passed senior secondary exam from outside Delhi.
  • Three passport size self-attested photographs.

The college will accept self-attested copies of document papers submitted by students. The students will be debarred if any false attestation /falsified records are detected the student will be debarred from attending any course in University/ or its college for next five years and in addition, a criminal case under relevant sections of IPC (VIZ 470, 471, 474 etc.) will be instituted against him/her.

*Candidates who are unable to produce any of the above mentioned certificates either because their university/ board has not issued the same till the last date of admission or because of any other reason shall be given provisional admission till 16 August 2015

If the candidate is unable to submit the requisite documents by the required date, her admission will automatically stand cancelled.

SC/ST/OBC Category

Seats for SC/ST/OBC categories are reserved in all undergraduate courses as per the directive of the University of Delhi and Government of India (SC: 15%; ST: 7.5%; OBC: 27%).

  • SC/ST/OBC/PwD candidates will be admitted directly by the college on the basis of declared cut offs.
  • Separate cut off percentages will be declared for each category.
  • There will be no additional eligibility criteria for the reserved categories.
  • Reserved category candidates are required to submit an attested copy of the SC/ST/OBC certificate issued by anyone of the following competent authorities:
1. District Magistrate/ Additional District Magistrate/ Deputy Commissioner/ Deputy Collector/ 1st Class Stipendiary Magistrate/ City Magistrate (not below the rank of 1st Class Stipendiary Magistrate)/ Sub Divisional Magistrate/Taluka Magistrate/ Executive Magistrate /Extra- assistant Commissioner.
   
2. Chief Presidency Magistrate/ Additional Chief Presidency Magistrate/ Presidency Magistrate.
   
3. Revenue Officer not below the rank of Tehsildar.
   
4. Sub-Divisional Officer of the area where the candidate or her family normally resides.
   
5. Administrator/ Secretary to Administrator/ Development Officer (Lakshadweep and Minicoy Islands)
   
  *The certificate should be in the name of the student and not in the name of the parent.

 

Foreign Students

Foreign Students are admitted through the Office of the Foreign Students Advisor. In accordance with the directive of the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, all foreign students are required to undergo a medical examination within a month of their admission.

Their admission will remain provisional till then and will be confirmed only on the production of valid medical fitness certificates.

 Application Process

  • Application form
    The University of Delhi has a Centralized Pre-admission Form for admission to colleges.When applying to any regular course at Deshbandhu College, in the first instance, students need not fill any form other than the Pre-admission Form, except for those seeking admission on the basis of Excellence in Sports and Extracurricular Activities. However, candidates are encouraged to visit the college web site to obtain an overview of the college and details of the selection criteria which would form the basis of admission.

    After the cut-off lists are announced, the candidates selected for admission to the college are required to fill the Deshbandhu College Pre - Admission Form before they can be admitted to the college. This form will be available at the time of admission at the college counter.
  • Eligibility
    (i) Age Requirement: As per University rules.
    (ii) Candidates who would like to reappear to improve their marks in order to satisfy the minimum eligibility criteria shall not be considered for admission.
