Hostel Details:

  • Candidates have separate hostels for males and females.
  • The boy's hostel can accommodate up to 600 males.
  • The girl's hotel can accommodate up to 700 female.
  • Sanathana, Siberia, Sarovar and Post Metric are hostels for boys.
  • Aishwarya, Athulya, Anaswara, OBC Post Metric and Post Metric are hostels for girls.
  • There is separate accommodation facility arranged for students involved in international collaboration.
  • The Syndicate reserves the right to open/close any hostel, shift/expel any student without assigning any reason.
  • SC/ST and physically challenged students are given prior consideration.
  • Students have to vacate the hostel after the end of the duration of their course.
  • Students are required to duly abide by the rules and regulations of the hostels.

Cut Offs:

  • For admission in B.Tech candidate should have passed 10 + 2 examination of Kerela Board or equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in mathematics.
  • For admission in BBA LLB/ B.Com LLB candidate should have passed 10 + 2 examination with either 60% marks in Science or 55% marks in Commerce/ Humanities.
  • For admission in M.Sc candidate should have graduated with a B.Sc degree with at least 55% marks.
  • For admission in MBA candidate should have graduated in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.
  • For admission in M.Tech candidate should have graduated in B.Tech or relevant degree with a minimum of 60% from a recognized university. The candidate gets a relaxation of 5% if he/she has a valid GATE score.

Eligibility criteria for Cochin University of Science and Technology

  • Candidates belonging to Kerela Scheduled Caste and Kerela Scheduled Tribe are eligible to apply if they have minimum pass marks for applying except for Marine Engineering.
  • The minimum eligibility for SEBC candidates of Kerela State who are not well to do will be considered for reservation quota for B.Tech if they 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Maths in aggregate.
  • A relaxation of 5% marks is given the candidates to SEBC candidates applying for postgraduate programmes.
  • Candidates applying for M.Tech programme with a valid GATE score are also given a relaxation of 5%.

Admission Criteria of Cochin University of Science and Technology

  • Admission for B.Tech is based on: The marks obtained by students in their 10+2 board examination.
  • Admission for M.Tech is based on: The score obtained by the candidate in GATE or DAT(conducted by the University) a 5% relaxation is given to students who have a valid GATE score.
  • Admission for MBA is based on: Score obtained by candidates in any of the management aptitude tests including MAT/ C-MAT/ CAT and on the basis of Group Discussion and Personal Interview conducted by the School of Management Studies.
