UPSC NDA Application Process

The notification for the UPSC NDA exam was released on 9 January 2019 and for NDA II, it is going to release on the 7th of August. The portal remains open for about a month and the candidates need to apply in that interval.

The UPSC NDA application form is available online only. The candidates are required to enter their personal and academic details in the form. The details once submitted cannot be changed afterward, thus the candidates are required to verify the details once before submission.

How to fill UPSC NDA Exam Application from?

Step 1: Visit the official website of UPSC NDA i.e.

Step 2: Register yourself by Providing all details that have been asked in part-I of the registration form.

Step 3: In Part-II, the candidate has to provide his/her personal, basic and contact details.

Step 4: Upload the pre-scanned copies of photograph and signature.

  • Photograph: They must then upload a Scanned photograph should be in JPG format. The digital size of the file must be less than 40 kb and greater than 3 kb and resolution 140-pixel height by 110-pixel width and Bit Depth of image file should be 24 bit.

  • Signature: They must then upload their scanned signature in JPG format. The digital size of each file must be less than 40 kb and greater than 1 kb and resolution 110-pixel height by 140-pixel width and Bit Depth of image file should be 24 bit. 

NDA Application Fee payment

Step 5: At last, make the payment for the successful submission of the application form.

  • Candidates can pay the application fee through online SBI net banking or by cash via SBI Bank challan or through credit card/debit card.

  • To pay the fee in cash, the candidate should take a printout of the challan generated online after completion of registration. The candidate can go to the nearest SBI branch for depositing fee after 24 hours of the generation of Challan.

UPSC NDA Vacancy

UPSC has two academies under the UPSC NDA exam. One is the National Defence Academy and another one is Naval Academy. UPSC declared the NDA notification regarding the vacancies in NDA and NA. Academy wise vacancy is given below.
