The eligibility for UPSC NDA 2019 can be categorized based on the following:
Nationality: A candidate must either be :
a citizen of India, or
a subject of Bhutan, or
a subject of Nepal, or
a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before the 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka and East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, and Ethiopia or Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
Gender: Only unmarried male candidates can apply.
For UPSC NDA I - Candidates not born earlier than 02nd July 2000 and not later than 1st July 2003 will be eligible.
For Army Wing of National Defence Academy: The candidate must have a 12th Class Pass through a 10+2 pattern of School Education or an equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University.
For Air Force and Naval Wings of National Defence Academy and for the 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme at the Indian Naval Academy: The candidate must have a 12th standard pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics conducted by a State Education Board or a University.
Physical Standards: Candidates must be physically fit as per the physical standards for admission to National Defence Academy and Naval Academy Examination guidelines.

Candidates should note that commission accepts the date of birth as recorded in the Matriculation/Higher Secondary Examination Certificate or an equivalent certificate on the date of submission of applications.
A candidate who has resigned or withdrawn on disciplinary grounds from any of the training academies of Armed Forces is not eligible.
Candidates must undertake not to marry until they finish their full training.
