Courses

Symbiosis Entrance test 2019 Eligibility Criteria 

B.Tech

Candidates must have passed 10+2 examination with a minimum of 45% marks (40% reserved category) from any Govt. recognized university or On the basis of JEE Score.

BBA

Candidates must have passed 12th or equivalent examination with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST).

B.Sc

Candidates should be 12th Pass or equivalent from any recognized board

BA./BBA.LLB

 Candidates who have Passed/Appearing 12th (10+2) examination with a minimum of 45% marks (40% for SC/ST candidates)

BCA

Aspirants who have Passed 12th examination or equivalent/Diploma in Engineering/Technology with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST candidates)

B.Des

Students who have Passed 10+2 or equivalent from any govt. recognized university OR 10+3 diploma

SLAT (Symbiosis Law Admission Test)

intermediate Graduates (Gen. 45% and SC/ST 40%)

SEED (Symbiosis Entrance Exam for Design)

Intermediate graduates (any stream) or equivalent or 10+3 Diploma (minimum 50% marks)

SITEEE (SIT Engineering Entrance Exam)

Intermediate graduates with minimum 45% marks (40% for SC/ST).Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology / Technical Vocational subject.


Symbiosis Entrance Test 2019 (SET)-Eligibility Criteria for PwD

  • Proof: To satisfy the eligibility criteria for Symbiosis entrance test 2019, a candidate have to submit the certificate issued by a Medical Superintendent/ Civil Surgeon of a Government hospital.

  • Certificate Verification: The disability certificate shall be verified by the Symbiosis Centre for Health Care (SCHC), Pune for admission under this category.

Locomotor disability - Eligibility

  • Locomotor disability: Candidate with the disability of bones, joints or muscles leading to substantial restriction to the movement of the limbs or any form of cerebral palsy.

  • Cerebral palsy: Candidate who belong to a group of non-progressive conditions like abnormal motor control posture, resulting from brain injuries occurring in the prenatal, perinatal or intent period of development.

  • Orthopedically handicapped: All the cases of locomotor disability and cerebral palsy will be covered in orthopedically handicapped case.

Low Vision - Eligibility

  • Low vision: Candidate with impairment of visual functioning even after treatment or standard refractive correction, who uses or is potentially capable of using vision for the planning or execution of a task with the appropriate assistive device, belongs to this category.

Hearing impairment - Eligibility

  • Hearing Impairment: Aspirant with the loss of 60 decibels or more in the better ear in the conversational range of frequencies falls under this category.

Note: Due to the non-availability of eligible candidates in the category of reservations, the remaining vacant seats will be reverted to the general category and short-listed eligible students by the permission of Vice-Chancellor of Symbiosis International University.


Symbiosis Entrance Test 2019 (SET) Eligibility for FN/PIO/OCI/NRI:

  • Person OF Indian Origin (PIO): As per the notification released by the Government of India on 9th January 2015, all the existing Indian Origin cardholders citizens registered as such shall be deemed to be Overseas Citizens of India cardholders.
  • Foreign National (FN): A candidate will be eligible to apply as a Foreign National (FN) if he/she is a citizen of any country other than India and holds a foreign passport.
  • Overseas Citizen of India (OCI): A candidate will be eligible to apply as OCI if he/she is granted with Overseas Citizenship of India and has an OCI card.
  • Non Resident of India (NRI): A candidate will be eligible to apply as a Non-Resident of India (NRI) if he/she has appeared for either 10th or 10+2 (equivalent to the Indian 10th or 12th) examination outside India. It is compulsory for all those NRI candidates who have appeared for their 10th standard examination outside India and 12th in India to appear for the following exams as applicable :-
  • For SCMS (Pune/NOIDA), SCMC, SICSR, SSE, SSLA, and SSCA – Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET)
  • For Design – Symbiosis Entrance Exam for Design (SEED)

  • For Engineering – Symbiosis Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Exam (SITEEE)

  • For Law – Symbiosis Law Admission Test (SLAT)

Note: For UG Programmes offered by SIHS and SCON, Common Entrance Exam will not be applicable.

Symbiosis Institute of Computer Studies and Research [SICSR-B.B.A]

Candidates must qualify (10+2) standard or equivalent examination or equivalent government approved diploma (10+3) with a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent grade (45% marks or equivalent grade for Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribes) from any recognized board.

SIT

Symbiosis Institute of Technology [SIT]

Student must pass standard XII (10+2) with Physics and Mathematics as their main subjects along with one vocational subject as Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical with at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribes) from a recognized board, in the above subjects together.

B. Tech (Lateral entry to the second year):

a) Candidates must have passed Diploma examination in appropriate branch of Engineering / Technology from an AICTE approved Institution with at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribes).

b) Candidates must have Passed B.Sc. Degree with at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribes) from a recognized University as defined by UGC, and passed XII standard with mathematics as a subject.

c) Candidates must clear the subjects of Engineering Graphics / Engineering Drawing and Engineering Mechanics of the first year Engineering program along with the second year subjects in case students belong to B. Sc. Stream

d) Students belonging to B. Sc. Stream shall be considered only after filling the supernumerary seats in this category with students belonging to the Diploma stream.

e) Candidates, who have passed Diploma in Engineering and Technology from an AICTE approved Institution or B. Sc. Degree from a recognized University as defined by UGC, will be eligible to take admission to the first year Engineering Degree courses depending on the vacancies in the first year class, if the vacancies at lateral entry are exhausted. However, the admissions will be strictly based on the eligibility criteria as mentioned in A, B, C, and D above.

A candidate who has completed his qualification from any Foreign Board / University must obtain an equivalence certificate from Association of Indian Universities (AIU).

SCMC

Symbiosis Centre for Media and Communication [SCMC]

Candidates must qualify standard XII (10+2) or equivalent examination OR equivalent government approved diploma (10+3) with minimum 50% marks or equivalent grade (45% marks or equivalent grade for Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribes) from any recognized board.

SSCA

Symbiosis School of Culinary Arts [SSCA]
