About: SSC FCI stands for Staff Selection Commission Food Corporation of India. The Staff Selection Commission conducts a national level recruitment exam for the various posts in the Food Corporation of India. The FCI is a government organization in charge of the food grains supply all over the country.

Authority: The SSC FCI exam is conducted by the Staff Selection Commission.

Examination Level: The SSC FCI is a recruitment examination which is conducted at the National level.

Headquarters: The headquarter of FCI is situated in at 16-20, Barakhamba Road, New Delhi-110001, India.

Scope: SSC FCI conducts the recruitment exam for the post of Management Trainee, Assistant Grade-III (General, Accounts and Technical and Depot Cards)

SSC FCI 2019 Recruitment:

  • Pay Scale: The salary band for an Assistant Grade-III scale for SSC FCI will be of INR 9300-22940 per month depending upon the post.
  • Notification: The notification for the SSC FCI 2019 will be released in the period of February 2019 to March 2019.

SSC FCI 2019 Important Dates:

  • Notifications: The notifications for the various posts like management trainee, Junior Engineer, Assistant Grade will be released tentatively in between the month of February 2019 and March 2019.
  • Admit Card: The Admit card of the SSC FCI exam is expected to get released in the month of September.
  • Examination Date: The FCI exam will be tentatively conducted in the month of October.

SSC FCI 2019 Vacancies:

  • The vacancies expected for the year 2019 are of Steno-typer, Junior Engineer and Assistant Grade I, II, III and IV.
  • The Assistant Grade-III will be entitled to a salary band of INR 9300-22940. The Management Trainee will be given a stipend of INR 16,000 per month.

SSC FCI 2019 Exam Eligibility Criteria:

  • The candidates must have scored atleast 60% aggregate in the Bachelors or Masters degree.
  • The age limit for the position of Assistant Grade is 27 years and for the post of management trainee is 28 years. For the post of the typist, the age limit is 25 years. The Junior Engineer can apply till the age of 30 years.

SSC FCI 2019 Exam Syllabus:

  • Paper 1: This paper of SSC FCI 2019 will comprise of the sections like General Awareness, General Intelligence, Quantitative Aptitude and Logical Reasoning.

  • Paper 2: This paper will contain the questions pertaining to the English Writing Skills.

  • Paper 3: This paper will be for the technical cadre. This will contain the technical questions related to the post for which the candidate has applied.

SSC FCI 2019 Exam Pattern:

  • The exam will take place in two stages: Preliminary and Mains. The Preliminary exam will be MCQ type with 200 questions.

  • In the Preliminary exam, there will be three papers namely: Paper 1, Paper 2 and Paper 3.

  • The mains exam will be conducted and after clearing both of the exams, the candidate can be asked to appear for the third exam depending on the post for which the candidate has appeared. This would be a technical exam.

SSC FCI 2019 Application Form:

  • The candidates can fill the application form for the exam through online mode before the closing date.

  • The candidates will be able to fill the form in the month of May (tentatively).

  • The fee for the application form is INR 600/- for the General and OBC candidates. There is no fee for the SC/ ST and Women candidates.

SSC FCI 2019 Admit Card:

  • Availability of Admit Card: The admit card will be available for the candidates to download in the month of September.

  • Download Instructions: The candidates have to submit their credentials like date of birth, registration number and captcha in the required fields.

SSC FCI 2019 Exam Result:

  • The SSC FCI 2019 exam result will be declared on the official website.

  • The tentative result date for the 2019 exams is in the month of October.

Expected dates: The SSC FCI 2019 Application form download is expected to be available by March 2019 and the exam is expected to be conducted in October 2019.

Exam Pattern: There will be three papers:

  • Paper 1: This paper is only for the Post Code A, B & C. Paper 1 is for 200 marks and subjects include General Intelligence, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, and English Language.

  • Paper 2: This paper is only for Post Code D, E, F, G & H (these posts also write paper 1). Paper 2 is for 200 marks and subjects include Quantitative Aptitude, English language & Comprehension.

  • Paper 3: This paper is for Post Code I. This paper is for 200 marks and the subject is Biological Sciences.

Expected Vacancy: The vacancies are expected to open for 15 posts in 2019.

  • For a Management Trainee (General, Depot, Movement, Accounts, Technical, Hindi, Civil/ Electrical/ Mechanical Engineering): The candidate should have posses a Bachelors degree from a recognized University with a minimum of 60% aggregate.

  • For Assistant Grade (General): The candidate must have a Bachelors degree with a minimum aggregate of 60% marks.

  • For Assistant Grade (Depot): The candidate must possess a Bachelors degree in any course and should be proficient in the usage of the computer.

  • For Assistant Grade (Technical): The candidate must have a B.Sc in Agriculture/ Botany/ Zoology/ Biochemistry/ Biotechnology from any recognized University.

SSC FCI 2019 Admit Card

  • To download the Admit Card, the candidate needs to go to the official website.

  • The Admit Card should be printed out by the candidate.

  • The Admit Card will contain the details of the candidate like Candidate's Name, Father's Name, Name of the Centre etc.

  • The candidate should bring the Admit Card along with a valid ID proof to the Examination Hall. Failing to do so, the candidate will not be allowed to enter the examination hall.
