  • About SHIATS: Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology and Sciences (SHIATS) is a full-fledged deemed university ensuring the successful development of Agricultural Education, Research, Extension, Science, Technology and other disciplines. 

  • Goal: Goal of SHIATS is to offer technical training that helps students to develop skills in their respective fields. SHIATS keep students informed about the potential job opportunities and help students to make their career. 

  • Courses Offered: It offers courses such as B.Sc, M.Sc, B.Pharma, B.Tech., B.E., BBA, M.Tech, M.A., M.B.A. and Ph.D. under various streams.

  • Affiliation: SHIATS is affiliated to University Grants Commission (UGC) and accredited by Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) and Indian Council of Forestry Research and Education (ICFRE).

  • Exam: SHIATS Entrance Exam is a National Level Entrance Exam. It is conducted by Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology & Sciences (SHUATS) to offer admission to aspirants in programmes offered by the University.

SHIATS 2019 Important Dates

  • Application Form Date: Candidates have to carefully go through the eligibility criteria prior to filling the Application Form for SHIATS 2019 exam available online from 1st February 2019.

  • Admit Card Date: Having submitted the filled Application Form successfully the candidate can download SHIATS Admit Card from 15th May 2019 onwards. 

  • Result: Candidates can check SHIATS 2019 results on 10th June 2019 from the official website.

  • Counselling Process: SHIATS 2019 counselling will commence from 4th July 2019.

 SHIATS 2019 Eligibility 

  • UG Programmes: Candidates should have passed 10+2 from state or central board with at least 45% aggregate marks for general category and 40% aggregate marks for ST/SC/Differently Abled candidates.

  • PG Programmes: Candidate needs to have minimum 10+2+3 years of educational qualification and percentage criteria varies from programme to programme.

 The below table shows the desired educational qualification for various UG and PG programmes:

  • UG Programmes: Candidates must prepare on topics studied at 10+2 level.

  • PG Programmes: Candidates should prepare on topics studied at the UG level.

SHIATS 2019 Exam Pattern

  • Question paper Medium: UG entrance exam is conducted in both English and Hindi languages and PG programme entrance exam will be conducted in English language only.

  • Exam Duration: The exam is conducted for two hours.
  • Marking Scheme: One mark will be deducted for every wrong answer. Question Paper will be for 160 marks.

SHIATS 2019 Application Form

  • Application Form: Candidate can fill the Application Form by visiting the SHIATS official website.

  • Details: All the details(personal and educational) are to be entered correctly by the candidate in the Application Form.

  • Application Fee: Once the Application Form is filled online, candidates have to pay the SHIAT 2019 application form fees, the application fee is INR 1,200/- for UG and PG programmes and INR 1,400/- for B.Ed. and M.Ed. programmes.
  • Application Form Payment: Application Form fee can be paid by the candidate via challan, which can be deposited either at the Axis Bank or at the SBI Bank.

SHIATS 2019 Application Process

  • Visit the official website

  • Click on the “Admission” section.

  • Candidates will be re-directed to the admission section where the candidate needs to click the “Apply Now” option.

  • Candidates need to select any one option drop-down menu

  • Next, select the three different exam centres from the dropdown list.

  • Enter all the required details(Personal and Educational)

  • Select the desired programme.

  • Upload all the required documents like photograph and candidate's signature in the specified format.

  • Pay the requisite pay.

  • Take a printout of the Application Form for future reference.

SHIATS 2019 Admit Card

  • Admit Card Date: Candidates can download SHIATS 2019 Admit Card by visiting the official website.

  • Admit Card Details: Admit Card will contain the exam centre details of the SHIATS 2019. The candidate has to carefully read all the exam related details mentioned on the card.

  • Mandatory: Candidates should compulsorily carry the SHIATS 2019 Admit Card to the exam centre without which candidates will not be allowed.

Steps to download SHIATS 2019 Admit Card:

  • Visit the official website of SHIATS 2019.

  • Enter the application form number or query number to view the card.

  • Click on the Get Admit Card section.

  • Admit Card will be displayed on the screen

  • Take a printout of the admit card and keep it safe till the admission process is completed.

SHIATS 2019 Results

  • Result Date: SHIATS 2019 Results can be viewed by the candidate from 10th June 2019 on the official website.

  • Merit List: Separate merit list will be prepared for the candidates based on the total marks obtained. Admission is strictly based on both the marks obtained by the candidate as well as the availability of the seat.

  • NRI Candidates: A separate merit list will be prepared for NRI Wards/NRI-sponsored candidates.

  • Reserved Seats: Candidates should note that 15% seats in UG programmes and 25% seats in PG programmes in agriculture and allied subjects are reserved for the candidate qualified through ICAR exam

Steps to download SHIATS 2019 Results:

  • Visit the official website.

  • Click on the Results section.

  • Enter the login details such as Application Form Number and select the programme.

  • After entering all the details click on the “Get Result.”

  • Candidates scorecard appears on the screen

  • Take a printout of the Results/scorecard and save it till the counselling finishes.


SHIATS 2019 Counselling

  • Counselling Dates: SHIATS 2019 counselling will commence from 4th July 2019 onwards. All the required original documents should be carried by the candidate at the time of counselling.

  • Merit List: There will be separate merit lists under each category and candidates will be called for the counselling process based on the merit list.

  • Counselling Details: Eligible candidates are supposed to download the call letter from the official website before counselling.

SHIATS 2019 Important Dates

  • Application dates: The application form submission starts from 1st February 2019 and last date to register is 20th May 2019.
  • Admit Card: The Admit Card can be downloaded by the candidate from 15th May 2019.

  • Examination Date: Tentative date for SHIATS 2019 Exam will be on 31st May 2019, and the registered candidates to keep in check to attend the examination.

Candidates having 50% marks in the bachelor’s or master’s degree with two school subjects part of their graduate study are deemed eligible for SHIATS 2019 B.Ed course

M.Ed

Qualification

The candidate must have a B.Ed degree with 55% marks to be eligible for SHIATS 2019 M.Ed course

B.P.Ed

Qualification

Candidate must be a graduate in any stream with physical education as an elective. He/she must have scored 45% in the same

Candidate should have regular master degree in relevant subject with at least 55% marks (or 6.00 CGPA/OGPA) for general candidate and 50% marks (or 5.5 CGPA/OGPA) for SC/ST/Physically handicapped candidates to be eligible for SHIATS 2019 Ph.D course

SHIATS 2019 Application Process

  • Visit the online SHIATS 2019 website for registration process.
  • Duly fill all the details mentioned in the application form and submit online.

  • Upload photo and once payment is done it would generate application form number and admit card for the entrance test. 

  • For offline submission, take a printout of duly filled online form and mention query number, name and contact phone number on reverse page of payment details. 

  • With payment details send the printout of online form through registered post to Registrar of SHIATS, Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh, for offline submission.

SHIATS 2019 Exam Pattern

  • One mark will be deducted for every wrong answer.
  • For UG programmes, there are two booklets i.e. UG-1 (PCM/PCB/PCMB/HBC) and UG-2 (AGRI/ARTS/COM).

  • For PG programme - AGRI/BIO/ABF/ETE/HSC/SCI/OTH

  • General Aptitude section is compulsory for all the above programmes.

  • In optional section of following programmes,

    • UG-1 - candidates need to select 3 subjects of the given 5 subjects as per the qualifying examination and subject group code filled in the application form

    • UG-2 - candidates need to select any 1 subject of the given 3 subjects as per their qualifying examination and subject group code filled in the application form.

    • PG - candidates need to select any 1 subject as per their qualifying examination and subject group code filled in the application form.

  • B.Ed and M.Ed candidates will have the respective additional section with teaching attitude and teaching management respectively.

SHIATS 2019 Syllabus

  • All UG and PG programmes have general aptitude as section 1 which is compulsory, and section 2 as follows for respective courses.
