RBI Grade B 2019 Exam Eligibility

Candidates must ensure they fulfill the following eligibility criteria before applying for RBI Grade 'B' 2019 examination.

RBI Grade B 2019 Eligibility based on Nationality:

  • A candidate must be a citizen of India, or

  • A subject of Nepal, or

  • A subject of Bhutan, or

  • A Tibetian refugee who came to India on 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or

  • A person who is of Indian origin but migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.


RBI Grade B 2019 Eligibility based on Age Limit:

  • Upper & Lower Limit: All applicants must be atleast 21 years to be eligible to apply. However, an applicant cannot be more than 30 years of age on May 1st, 2019. If the candidates are M.Phil. or Ph.D., the upper age limit will be relaxed to 32 and 34 years respectively.

  • Relaxation: Relaxation in age limit will be provided for all reserved category candidates. The exact amount of relaxation will be based on the Government of India norms and are as follows:

A candidate who has experience in the Commercial Bank or Financial Institution in Public Sector and also in Reserve Bank of India. For him/her, the upper age limit should not exceed 33 years.

    • 6 for General category candidates (will be counted once the candidate appears in Phase - 1 exam)

    • Unlimited (with restrictions in age limit) for all other category applicants.

Minimum 60% marks (50% in case of SC/ST/PWD) in Graduation

 Officers in Grade 'B' (DR) -DEPR

A Master's Degree in Economics/ Econometrics/ Quantitative Economics / Mathematical Economics/ Integrated Economics Course/ Finance 

Minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters /years from a recognised Indian or Foreign University /Institute

50% for SC,ST

 

 Officers in Grade 'B' (DR) - DSIM

A Master's Degree in Statistics/ Mathematical Statistics/Mathematical Economics/ Econometrics/ Statistics & Informatics from IIT-Kharagpur/ Applied Statistics & Informatics from IIT-Bombay

 

Post Graduate Diploma in Business Analytics  (PGDBA) jointly offered by  ISI Kolkata, IIT Kharagpur  and IIM Calcutta 

The candidate must have obtained a minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters /years

50% for SC,ST
