Mode

The Application Form will be available online on NTA's official website and there will be no offline registration for NEET 2019.

The release of Application form

NTA will release the NEET 2019 Application Form on the official website on 1st November 2018. 

Last day to apply

The deadline to submit the NEET 2019 Application Form is 7th December 2018. 

Online Guide

Cutting-Edge technology has been used to develop the Application Form for NEET 2019. Candidates will be guided through each step of the overall Application Process.  

Rejection of Application

The application request of candidates who feed in false information will not be entertained by the NTA and such candidates will be debarred from appearing for NEET 2019.

Incomplete Application

The candidates who submit an incomplete Application Form for NEET 2019, such Application forms will be considered invalid and will be rejected. NEET 2019 examination fees will not be refunded in such a case. 

No Withdrawal of Application

The Application Form for NEET 2019 once submitted cannot be withdrawn under any circumstances.

 


NEET 2019 step-wise Application Process

Step 1: The candidate can find the NEET 2019 Application form on the official website NTA, https://www.nta.ac.in/medicalexam.

  • Click on the link "Registration".

NEET 2019 Application Process 

  • Enter the required information in the provided space. This must be done carefully.

  • Candidates from foreign countries should fill the following details

  • Candidates from Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and J&K will have to submit the following Self-declaration:

  • All candidates (Indian Residents, Non-Resident Indians (NRIs), overseas citizens(OCIs), Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs) and Foreign Nationals) should fill the respective details, making sure all the submitted information is accurate.

             Step-1 application process

  • Click "Next" to continue, the page will be redirected to the next page of NEET 2019 Application form where the candidate should continue submitting the information.(as shown below)

  • If the candidate clicks "Back", the website will take the applicant back to the previous page of the application form for the purpose of filling the incomplete fields and also to correct the errors if any.

  • At any time during this step, the candidates should keep saving the data filled in the application form by clicking "Save as Draft".

  • After filling all the details without any mistake, reviewing the information to be submitted is must and this can be done by clicking on "Preview and Submit" option. 

  • Once the application form is submitted no changes can be made later. If the submitted details turn out to be wrong/false, such applicants will be rejected or won't be eligible for admission to any of the medical colleges associated with NEET 2019. 

  • After reviewing the application form, if all the details are correct the candidate can submit the application by clicking on "Final Submit".

  • After submitting all correct details, Confirm the final submission by clicking on "Yes, please do".

  • Provisional Registration Number: After this step, the Provisional Registration Number of the candidate will be generated and displayed on the screen. The Provisional Registration Number will also be sent to the registered E-mail Id and mobile phone of the candidate.

  • At this stage, the candidate will be given an option to continue filling his application by clicking on the link "Continue" or completing the form "Later".

  • By Clicking on the "continue" the candidate may submit the required information and complete the step-1 of the Application form.

  • If "Later" is selected the candidate can log-in to his/her/others account at any time before the last date and complete his application form.

Step 2: On finishing Step 2 (second link of the application form for uploading the photograph and signature of the candidate), the candidate will be redirected to step 3 where Payment of Fee must be done.

Step 3: After the Payment of Fee, candidates have to take a printout of the confirmation page. Payment of NEET 2019 Application Form Fee. The last date for successful final Payment of the fee is 1st March 2019

  • Candidates can review the application form by clicking on "Review Application".

  • If the candidates feel all the submitted details in the NEET 2019 application form is true and correct, the candidate can proceed to make payment by clicking on "any of the following modes of payment option as shown below".

Mode of Payment: 

  • If the candidate feels all the submitted details in the application form is true and correct, he/she can proceed to make the payment by clicking on "any of the following modes of payment options as shown below".

Payment through Net Banking/UPI:

  • If a candidate decides to pay the NEET 2019 exam fee through Net Banking/UPI.

  • The online application on the website will guide the individual to pay the exam fee.

  • Then kindly follow the instructions as communicated during the online processing.

Payment by any Debit/Credit Card using online payment gateway: 

  • If a candidate decides to pay the exam fee through Debit/Credit Card, it is advised to check the validity of the Card and keep it ready while logging on to the website for submitting the application form.

  • The online application on the website will guide the individual to pay the exam fees.

  • Then kindly follow the instructions as communicated during the online processing.

  • Applicant must carefully go through the "terms and conditions" and finish the payment.

Payment through e-wallet of various service providers:

  • If a candidate decides to pay exam the fee through e-wallet,

  • The online application on the website will guide the individual to pay the exam fee.

  • Then kindly follow the instructions as communicated during the online processing.

Confirm the payment mode by clicking on "yes, Please do"

              NEET-UG Application form

NEET 2019 Application Form Fee Details:

  • Take a printout: Print the Confirmation Page (Step-4) of online application after submission (Step-3).

  • Final submit: In the case of debit/credit card/ Net Banking/UPI/e-wallet, if an applicant fails to complete Step-2 of online application and a further payment of the exam fee as per Step-3, final Submission of online application will remain incomplete and unsuccessful in all modes of payment of the fee.

  • Cannot be withdrawn: After submission of the application form, it cannot be withdrawn.

  • No Refund: Claims for refund of application fee will not be entertained.

  • Finish: Applicant must go through the "terms and conditions" carefully and finish the payment.

Step 4:

  • Follow the instructions and remit the fee. After successful payment, the program will take the applicant to step-4 to take print out of Confirmation Page.

  • Follow the instructions to take the print out of Confirmation Page.

  • Applicants are advised to preserve the NEET 2019 application confirmation page and proof of payment of fee safely for any future reference. 


NEET 2019 Application Form Image Guidelines

Format for Photograph of the candidate

  • Background colour: White background only.

  • Name and date of taking the photograph: The photographs should clearly indicate the name of the candidate along with the date of taking the photograph.

  • Size and format: Latest photograph (size of 10KB to 100KB) of the candidate, in JPG format only.
  • Spectacles: Spectacles will be allowed if being used regularly by the candidate.

  • Caution: Polaroid and computer generated photos are not acceptable. The photograph should not have the candidate wearing a cap or sunglasses. Applications not complying with these instructions are liable to be rejected.

  • Note: Candidates should note that if it is found that photograph affixed is fabricated i.e. de-shaped or seems to be manipulated or digitally edited, the application form of such candidate will be rejected and the same would be considered as using unfair means/practices and the candidate would accordingly be dealt with as per the rules of unfair means.

Note: It is mandatory for the candidate to bring his/her postcard size (4”X6”) photograph indicating clearly the name of the candidate along with the date of taking the photograph duly pasted, during the conduct of NEET Examination.

  • It is advised for the candidate to carry extra photographs to the exam hall.

Format for Signature of the candidate:

  • Size and format: Scanned image of Signature (size of 3KB to 20KB) in JPG format only.

  • Upload: The candidates are required to upload their signature in the appropriate box given in the online Application form in running handwriting.

  • Rejection: Writing full name in the Box in Capital letters would not be accepted as signature and the Application Form will be rejected.

NEET 2019 Examination codes

Qualifications

Code 01

A candidate who is appearing for the qualifying examination, i.e. 12th Standard in 2018, whose result is awaited, may apply and take up the said test but if he/she does not pass the qualifying examination with the required pass percentage of marks at the time of first round of Counselling, he/she shall not be eligible for admission to the MBBS or BDS courses.

Code 02

The Higher/Senior Secondary Examination or the Indian School Certificate Examination which is equivalent to 10+2 Higher/Senior Secondary Examination after a period of 12 years study, the last two years of such study comprising of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology (which shall include practical tests in these subjects) and Mathematics or any other elective subject with English at a level not less than the core course for English as prescribed by the National Council of Educational Research and Training after the introduction of the 10+2+3 educational structure as recommended by the National Committee on Education. NOTE: Where the course content is not as prescribed for 10+2 education structure of the National Committee, the candidates will have to undergo a period of one-year pre-professional training before admission to the Medical Colleges.

The Intermediate/Pre-degree Examination in Science of an Indian University/Board or other recognized examining body with Physics, Chemistry, Biology /Biotechnology (which shall include the practical test in these subjects) and also English as a compulsory subject.

Code 04

The Pre-professional/Pre-medical Examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology & English after passing either the Higher Secondary Examination or the Pre-University or an equivalent examination. The Pre-professional/Pre-medical examination shall include the practical test in these subjects and also English as a compulsory subject.

Code 05

The first year of the three years’ degree course of a recognised University with Physics, Chemistry and Biology/ Biotechnology including practical tests in these subjects provided the examination is a University Examination and candidate has passed the earlier qualifying examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Biotechnology with English at a level not less than a core course.

Code 06

B.Sc. Examination of an Indian University provided that he/she has passed the B.Sc. Examination with not less than two of the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany, Zoology)/Bio-technology and further that he/she has passed the earlier qualifying examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English.

Code 07

Any other examination which in scope and standard (Last 02 years of 10+2 Study comprising of Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology; Which shall include a practical test in these subjects) is found to be equivalent to the Intermediate Science Examination of an Indian University/Board, taking Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology including practical tests in each of these subjects and English. Provided that to be eligible for the competitive entrance examination, the candidate must have passed any of the qualifying examinations as enumerated above or appearing in the qualifying examination in 2017.

Provided also that to be eligible for competitive Entrance Test the candidate must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology at the qualifying examination as mentioned in clause (2) of regulation 4 on Graduate Medical Education 1997 and in addition must have come in the merit list of NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY ENTRANCE TEST (UG) – 2017 for admission to MBBS/BDS courses. In respect of the candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes or Other Backward Classes, the marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology took together in qualifying examination shall be 40% marks instead of 50% marks for General Candidates.

Further, for persons with locomotory disability of lower limbs, minimum of 45% marks for Gen-PH and 40% marks for SC-PH/ST-PH/OBC-PH are required. Provided further that the students educated abroad seeking admission into medical colleges in India must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Biotechnology and English up to the 12th standard level with 50% marks and their equivalency determined as per regulations of the Medical Council of India and the concerned University.

The candidates need to follow the below mentioned specifications for the documents which need to be uploaded:
  • Candidates are required to upload a scanned image of their photograph, signature and right hand index finger impression.
  • The photograph must be in JPG/JPEG format and should not be larger than 100 kb.
  • The signature file should be in JPG/JPEG format and the file size should not be more than 200 kb.
  • The thumb impression should be in JPEG format and it should not be larger than 20 kb.

The NEET registration process involves:

  1. Visit the official NEET website and fill in your personal, academic and communication details.
  2. Choose your preferred NEET exam centre.
  3. Create a unique NEET password and a security question to secure the password.
  4. Check the information you entered once again and then click the Final Submit button.
  5. Uploading of images which include thumb impression, signature and photograph
  6. Click on the uploaded photograph and browse your computer to upload a photograph. The photograph must be in JPG/JPEG format, should not be larger than 100 kb.
  7. Click on the blank area to upload signature and browse your computer. The signature should be in JPG/JPEG format, the file size should not be larger than 20 kb.
  8. Click on the blank area to upload the right-hand index finger impression. The thumb impression should be in JPEG format, its size should not be larger than 20 kb.
  9. Payment of the fees.

The NEET application fees can be paid using a Debit Card/ Credit Card or an online e-challan.

During the online registration process the password will be generated as per the password policy. Candidates are advised to keep the password that they have created confidential. The password can be changed. The password is very important for participating in the online allotment process. Sharing of password can result in its misuse by somebody else, leading to even exclusion of genuine candidates from the online allotment process.
