  • Application: NEET 2019 application form is available on the official website from 1st November 2018. 

  • Mode: Only Online NEET 2019 Application Forms will be considered by NTA and application process cannot be done offline.

  • New method: A modern method has been used to develop the application of NEET 2019 in which the candidate will be guided on each step that what information is to be given.

  • Debar: The candidates who submit false information in the application form for NEET those particular candidate's application form will not be considered and such candidates will be debarred from appearing for NEET 2019 conducted by NTA.

  • Rejection: The candidates who submit an incomplete application form for NEET 2019 those particular candidate's application form will not be considered and will be rejected. NEET 2019 examination fee will not be refunded in such a case. There will be a tentative number of days to make changes to the NEET application forms in case any mistakes have been made.

  • No withdrawal: The application form of NEET once submitted cannot be withdrawn under any circumstances.

  • Accurate information: The information to be filled in the NEET 2019 online application should be accurate and faultless or else chances are there for the application to get rejected.

Following list is advised to be prepared by a candidate before starting the process of an application form:

  • No Spelling mistakes: Name of Father/ Mother and Candidate with correct spellings.

  • ID card: Aadhaar Number/ Aadhaar Enrollment Number/Registration Number Issued by CBSE Facilitation Number/ Passport number/Ration Card Number/ Bank Account Number/ Other valid Govt. Identity card Number.

  • Date of Birth.

  • Address, Mobile Number, Email ID must be kept ready.

  • Photograph and Signature: Candidates should have scanned images of their latest photograph (size of 10KB to 100KB) and signature (size of 3KB to 20KB) in JPG format only.

  • Accuracy: The information to be filled in the NEET 2019 online application should be accurate and faultless.

The method of Submission of NEET 2019 Application Form:

  • To find the application for NEET 2019, the candidate must log on to www.nta.ac.in

  • Go to the link "Apply Online" and open the same.

  • Read the instructions carefully and proceed to fill the Application form for NEET 2019.

  • Make sure you have all your credentials with you and fill out the details carefully so that there is no scope of any mistake. 

  • Enter all the registration details and click on the “Preview & Next” button.

  • After registration, login with your credentials again.

  • Fill in the required details like personal information, education details, preferred exam center for NEET 2019, etc.

  • Upload your Digital Signature and Photograph as in the format mentioned in the website. 

  • Once you are done with uploading the documents, go to the "Payments section" and make the payment for the NEET exam. 

  • Print your completed NEET 2019 Application Form along with the Payment receipt for further references.  


Candidates are supposed to use images of particular specifications as mentioned below:

Photograph of the candidate:

  • Photograph and format: Latest photograph (size of 10KB to 100KB) of the candidate, in JPG format only.

  • Background: White background only.

  • Indicate the name of the candidate along with the date of taking the photograph clearly.

  • Spectacles are allowed if being used regularly.

  • Not acceptable: Polaroid and computer generated photos are not acceptable.

  • The photograph should not have a cap or goggles.

  • Rejections: Applications not complying with these instructions are liable to be rejected.

  • Candidates may please note that if it is found that photograph affixed is fabricated i.e. de-shaped or seems to be manipulated or digitally edited, the application form of such candidate will be rejected and the same would be considered as using unfair means practices and candidate would accordingly be dealt with as per the rules of unfair means.

Note: 

  • It is mandatory for the candidate to bring his/her postcard size (4”X6”) photograph indicating clearly the name of the candidate along with the date of taking the photograph duly pasted, during the conduct of NEET Examination.

  • It is advised for the candidate to carry extra photographs to the exam.

Signature of the candidate:

  • Size and format: Signature (size of 3KB to 20KB) in JPG format only.

  • Adjust in the box: The candidates are required to upload their signature in the appropriate box given in the online Application Form in running handwriting.

  • Rejection: Writing full name in the Box in Capital letters would not be accepted as signature and the Application Form would liable to be rejected.          

Note: Ensure that photograph and signature are uploaded to the respective fields.

Payment through any Debit/Credit Card using online gateway payment facility: 

  • If a candidate decides to pay the exam fee through Debit/Credit Card, it is advised to check the validity of the Card and keep it ready while logging on to the website for submitting the application form.

  • The online application website will guide the individual to pay the exam fee.

  • Then kindly follow the instructions as communicated during the online processing.

  • Applicant must Carefully go through the "terms and conditions" and finish the payment.

Payment through Net Banking/UPI

  • If a candidate decides to pay the exam fee through Net Banking/UPI,

After making the payment options confirm the payment mode by clicking on "yes, Please do"

Instructions to be noted while applying for NEET 2019 

  • Applicant must carefully go through the "terms and conditions" and finish the payment.

  • Print the Confirmation Page (Step-4) of online application after submission

  • In the case of debit/credit card/ Net Banking/UPI/e-wallet, if an applicant fails to complete the transaction, final Submission of online application will remain incomplete and unsuccessful in all modes of payment of the fee.

  • After submission of the application form, it cannot be withdrawn. Claims for refund of application fee will not be entertained.

  • Follow the instructions and remit the fee. After successful remittance fee, the program will take the applicant to take print out of Confirmation Page.

  • Applicants are advised to preserve the confirmation page and proof of payment of fee safely for any future reference.

Qualifications and Qualifying examination codes:

CODE: 01

  • A candidate who is appearing for the qualifying examination, i.e., 12th Standard in 2019, whose result is awaited, may apply and take up the said test but he/ she shall not be eligible for admission to the MBBS or BDS, if he/ she does not pass the qualifying examination with the required pass percentage of marks at the time of first round of Counselling

CODE: 02

  • The Higher/Senior Secondary Examination or the Indian School Certificate Examination which is equivalent to 10+2 Higher/ Senior Secondary Examination after a period of 12 years study, the last two years of such study comprising of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Biotechnology (which shall include practical tests in these subjects) and Mathematics or any other elective subject with English at a level not less than the core course for English as prescribed by the National Council of Educational Research and Training after introduction of the 10+2+3 educational structure as recommended by the National Committee on Education. NOTE: Where the course content is not as prescribed for 10+2 education structure of the National Committee, the candidates will have to undergo a period of one-year pre-professional training before admission to the Medical Colleges.

  • The Intermediate/ Pre-degree Examination in Science of an Indian University/ Board or other recognized examining body with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Biotechnology (which shall include the practical test in these subjects) and also English as a compulsory subject. 

CODE: 04

  • The Pre-professional/Pre-medical Examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Biotechnology & English after passing either the Higher Secondary Examination or the Pre-University or an equivalent examination.

  • The Pre-professional/Pre-medical examination shall include the practical test in these subjects and also English as a compulsory subject. 

CODE: 05

  • The first year of the three years’ degree course of a recognised University with Physics, Chemistry and Biology/ Biotechnology including practical tests in these subjects provided the examination is a University Examination and candidate has passed the earlier qualifying examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Biotechnology with English at a level not less than a core course.

CODE: 06

  • B.Sc. Examination of an Indian University provided that he/she has passed the B.Sc. Examination with not less than two of the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany, Zoology)/ Biotechnology and further that he/ she has passed the earlier qualifying examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English.

CODE: 07

  • Any other examination which in scope and standard (Last 02 years of 10+2 Study comprising of Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology; Which shall include practical test in these subjects) is found to be equivalent to the Intermediate Science Examination of an Indian University/Board, taking Physics, Chemistry and Biology/ Biotechnology including practical tests in each of these subjects and English. Provided that to be eligible for the competitive entrance examination, the candidate must have passed any of the qualifying examinations as enumerated above or appearing in the qualifying examination.

  • Provided also that to be eligible for competitive Entrance Test the candidate must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology at the qualifying examination as mentioned in clause (2) of regulation 4 on Graduate Medical Education 1997 and in addition must have come in the merit list of NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY ENTRANCE TEST (UG)  for admission to MBBS/BDS courses. In respect of the candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes or Other Backward Classes, the marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology took together in qualifying examination shall be 40% marks instead of 50% marks for General Candidates

  • Further, for persons with locomotory disability of lower limbs, a minimum of 45% marks for Gen-PH and 40% marks for SC-PH/ST-PH/OBC-PH are required. Provided further that the students educated abroad seeking admission into medical colleges in India must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English up to the 12th standard level with 50% marks and their equivalency determined as per regulations of the Medical Council of India and the concerned University.
