Announcement: National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA 2019) would be held twice from the academic year 2019-20. (Source - TOI).
The President of Council of Architecture, Mr Vijay Garg said on Monday "NATA to be conducted twice a year". He also said that there will be National Level Counselling for Admission into B.Arch Course.
About: NATA is the qualifying exam for admission to the 5-year Architecture programme and it is conducted across India.
Measures: The test measures drawing and observation skills, sense of proportion, aesthetic sensitivity and critical thinking ability that have been acquired over a long period of time, and that are related to specific field of study, i.e. Architecture.
Authority: NATA 2019 (National Aptitude Test in Architecture) is managed and conducted by the Council of Architecture (COA).
Level: NATA 2019 is a National level aptitude test.
Eligibility: There is no age limit to apply for NATA. Candidates should have completed their SSLC and 12th with the aggregate of minimum 50% and one who has completed their diploma should have secured minimum 50% to be eligible for NATA 2019 Examination.
Exam Pattern: It comprises of two parts:
Part-A comprises of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) to be answered online
Part-B is paper-based drawing.

Application Form: Candidates can register for NATA 2019 from 18th January 2019 and the last date for completing NATA 2019 Application Process is 2nd March 2019.
Correction: The correction window of NATA 2019 Application Form will be opened on 13th February 2019.
Admit Card: Candidates can download the admit card from the official website form 2nd April 2019.

Age Limit: There is no age limit to apply for NATA 2019.
Candidate passed 10+2 or its equivalent from Central or State Board of Examination.
Candidate passed 10+3 Diploma from any affiliated university.
Candidate with International Baccalaureate Diploma after 10 years of Schooling is also eligible to apply for NATA 2019.
Lateral Entry: There are no lateral admissions in any stage/year for B.Arch course.
Minimum Marks: Candidates should have a minimum of 50% marks and should have studied mathematics as one of the main subjects.
Register: Candidates have to register themselves before the final date. Without registration, candidates will not be able to fill NATA 2019 Application Form.
Availability: Candidates have to fill up NATA 2019 application form online on the NATA official website.
Required Details: NATA 2019 Application Form should be filled by providing personal, educational and other required details in the application form.
Application Fee: The application fee is Rs. 1800/- for General and OBC candidates and Rs. 1500/- for SC/ST candidates.
Mode: The fee can be paid online using a credit card, debit card, or net banking.
Note: There is no need to send NATA 2019 application form through offline mode or by post.

Section - I: Mathematics and General Aptitude. This Section will be conducted via online mode.
Section - II: Drawing Test. It will be conducted in offline mode.
Duration: Part-A and Part-B will be given 90 minutes each.
Marking Scheme: 2 marks will be allotted for each correct answer.
Negative Marking: No negative marking
Drawing Test: Candidates should complete two questions in 90 minutes and drawing paper will be evaluated by more than one examiner and marks will be averaged.

Availability of exam centres: NATA 2019 will be conducted in 136 centres, out of which 135 centres are in India and the remaining one is in Dubai.
Report Time: Candidates are advised to reach NATA 2019 Centre on or before the reporting time (will be printed on the admit card). No late entry in the examination premises will be allowed.
Note: The candidate cannot place a request for change of allocated centre and it will not be entertained by the conducting authority under any circumstances.
Pattern: Candidates are supposed to prepare on the syllabus prescribed by the Council of Architecture (COA) for NATA 2019.
Syllabus: NATA 2019 syllabus consists of Mathematics, General Aptitude, Drawing Test.
Prepare: Candidate should focus on the syllabus to score well in NATA 2019 examination.
Declare: Results will be declared by the conducting authority on 2nd June 2019.

At least 25% marks must be scored in MCQ type Questions (30 out of 120).
At least 25% marks must be secured in Drawing Questions (20 out of 80).
Overall qualifying marks (out of 200) will be based on post-exam statistics & at the discretion of the Council.

Exam mode: The drawing test is conducted in offline mode and the aesthetic sensitivity test is conducted through online mode.
Negative marking: There is no negative marking.
Questions: There will be a total of three questions asked in the drawing test and the candidate will be given two hours to finish them.
Exam mode: The drawing test is an offline test.
Questions: The drawing test has three questions which are the Two-dimensional drawing (2D) question, the Three-dimensional drawing (3D) question, and the Theme Sketch question.
Mark allocation: The Two-dimensional drawing (2D) question is for 25 marks, the Three-dimensional drawing (3D) question is for 25 marks and the Theme sketch question is for 50 marks.
Mathematics Syllabus: The Mathematics syllabus for NATA consists of questions from Algebra, Logarithm, Matrices, Trigonometry, Coordinate geometry, 3D Coordinate geometry, Theory & Applications of Calculus, Permutations and Combinations, Statistics and probability.
Procedure: The NATA results will be published on the official website.
