  • MHT CET 2018 will be directed by the Government of Maharashtra, State Common Entrance Test Cell.

  • It is a state level selection test which is otherwise called MHT CET. Through this exam, hopeful candidates will get induction into the main year of full-time degree courses in building and innovation, well-being sciences and drug store courses like  B.Tech, B.Pharm and Pharm.D.

  • These courses are offered by the diverse universities and organizations situated in Maharashtra state. 

  • The Applications Forms will be available from February/March 2018

  •  The Commissioner of the State CET CELL shall be the person in charge of MHT CET 2018.

  • Admit Card: The MHT CET 2018 Admit Card will be available in the last week of April 2018.

MHT CET 2018 Courses offered:

  • MHT CET offers admissions to courses in Engineering/Technology (B.E./B.Tech) and Pharmacy (B.Pharm/Pharm D.) as well as some allied health sciences programs in the Government aided and private universities/institutions in Maharastra.

MHT CET 2018 Exam Eligibility Criteria:

  • Minimum eligibility- The minimum eligibility for the candidate is to pass 10+2 to be eligible for this MHT CET Exam

MHT CET 2018 Exam Pattern:

  • The paper I and Paper II consist of Multiple type questions (Objective Type) of 1 marks each. And Paper III questions consist of 2 marks each

  • The duration of all three paper is 1 hour and 30 minutes. Paper I and Paper II will be in English, Marathi & Urdu and Paper III will be in English

MHT CET 2018 Admit Card:

  • Issuing of admit card-The admit card will be issued in April 2018. The admit card is equivalent to a hall ticket. 

  • The admit card is proof that the candidate has registered for the exam and completed the application process.

  • MHT CET 2018 Result will be announced on the official website and the score will be valid for the same academic year only

MHT CET 2018 Important Dates

Important dates Summary for MHT CET 2018:

  • The MHT CET 2018 exam schedule dates(Tentative) have been announced. click here to know more.
  • The Applications for MHT CET 2018 will be available for all candidates from the February/March 2018.

  • Candidates have to visit the official website for MHT CET 2018 to start their Application Process.

  • The applicants can fill out the required details in the application form and pay the fee until the end of March 2018.

  • All successfully applied candidates can log onto the MHT CET 2018 website on the 4th week of April 2018 to download the Admit Card.

  • The MHT CET examination will commence in the month of May 2018

  • Results will be available on the official website by the 1st or 2nd week of June 2018 following which the counselling will be held.

MHT CET 2018 Eligibility

Eligibility Criteria Summary for the MHT CET 2018:

  • Age: Candidates appearing for MHT CET 2018 Health Science Degree should be born on or after the 31st of December 2000 to satisfy the Age Eligibility Criteria.

  • Medical certificate:Candidates should be medically fit as per the standards of the respective medical body. A Medical Certificate in this regard should be submitted for the Candidate to be considered eligible.

  • Qualification: The applying candidate should have passed the 10th Final Examination from a school under the Maharashtra State Board as well as the 12th Final examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, English as subjects.

  • Citizenship and Schooling: Candidates appearing for MHT CET 2018 Engineering and Pharmacy must be citizens of India and are required to have passed the 10th Final Examination from a school under the Maharashtra State Board as well as 12th Exam from any board.

  • Minimum marks: Candidates must have secured a minimum of 50% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Biology, however, candidates belonging to the SC/ST category of the society need to have at least 45% aggregate to be eligible. However, there is no age limit for candidates applying.

MHT CET 2018 Application Process

The Application Process Summary for MHT CET 2018:

  • Filling up details: The interested Candidates can visit the official website for the MHT CET 2018 examination. During the application process, the Candidates will have to specify his/her qualifications and the last qualifying examination before filling in the other details on the form. Once this has been completed the Candidates will be directed to a page where they have to fill in their Personal Details such as Contact Information, Age of the candidate, etc.

  • Password: The Candidate will also be asked to choose a valid password consisting of an upper case, lower case, alphanumeric and special characters and a security question for logging in.

  • Digital signature: The Candidates will also be asked to upload a Digital Signature before finishing up the Application Process.

  • Application Form: Candidates are advised to have a thorough check on the provided information in the Application Form since no further changes can be made in the case of errors once the Application Form has been submitted.

  • Payment mode: The final step of the Application Process is the payment for the application which can be done using a Credit  Card / Debit Card / Net Banking or using an E-Challan payable via cash at a State Bank Of India Branch near you.

  • Stay updated to the website: Once this has been completed the Candidates will have to stay updated on the website for the availability of the Admit Card.

MHT CET 2018 Application Form Details

 Application form details summary for MHT CET 2018:

  • Exam fees: Candidates applying for the MHT CET 2018 examination have to note that the examination fees for the candidates belonging to the Reserved Quota are INR 600/- however Candidates who belong to the below-mentioned categories are applicable of INR 800 (+60 Bank Charges).
  • Valid application form: The candidate shall submit one and only one Application Form. In case, the candidate submits more than one Application Form, the last submitted online application form along with payment will be treated as valid.

  • Payment mode: The payment can be made using a Credit Card/Debit Card/Net Banking or using an E-Challan which is payable via cash.

  • Compulsory: All questions are compulsory hence candidate has to answer every question.

MHT CET 2018 Admit Card

Admit Card Summary for MHT CET 2018:

  • Official Website: The Admit Card for the Candidates who have applied for the MHT CET 2018 examination will be available on the official site of MHT CET 2018 on April 2018.

  • Documents: The Admit Card is an important document to be carried by the Candidate on the day of MHT CET 2018 examination.

  • Admit Card: Candidates who do not have the Admit Card with them on the day of the Examination will not be allowed to write the exam. 

  • Login: Candidates should use their Date of Birth provided during the Application Process and the Password to log in and download the Admit Card.

  • Reference: Candidates are advised to preserve the Admit Card for future references. Candidates should note that the Admit Card will not be sent via post or E-mail.

  • Cross-Check: Once downloaded Candidates are advised to check all the details mentioned on the Admit Card, to make sure no errors have been made. 

  • Discrepancies: Any discrepancies in the admit card should be reported to the exam conducting body immediately.

  • Hard Copy: A downloaded copy of the Admit Card will be considered valid. The Admit Card should not be Tampered with, as this will result in the Candidate getting Barred from writing the MHT CET 2018 Examination.

MHT CET 2018 Exam Pattern

Exam Pattern Summary for MHT CET 2018:

  • Mode: The Examination of MHT CET 2018 is pen-paper based, the candidates applying for the examination will have to take up the exam at offline centres.

  • Papers: The Candidates are tested via three papers according to their stream. Candidates from Health Science will have to pick Paper 01 and Paper 02 where the former consists of Physics and Chemistry for a total of 100 marks (50+50) whereas the latter consists of Biology for a total of 100 marks as well.

  • Engineering: Candidates from Engineering will have to select Paper 01 and Paper 03 where the latter consists of Mathematics for a total of 50 marks.

  • Format: The Examination Paper will be in OMR format and Candidates will have to complete the same in 1.5 hours. Each question carries 1 mark for a right answer except for Mathematics wherein each right answer will fetch 2 marks, there are no negative markings on the MHT CET 2018 Examination Paper.

  • Alternate Languages: All papers will be available in Marathi, Urdu apart from English. Candidates are allowed to use black ball pointed pens only.

MHT CET 2018 Results

Results Summary for MHT CET 2018

  • Results date and access: The Results for the MHT CET 2018 examination will be announced in the month of June 2018 on their official website under the Results Tab. Candidates will have to use their application number, password and security code to access the Result. Candidates are advised to take a hard copy of the Results in pdf format.

  • No personal communication: Candidates should note that the Results will not be emailed or posted to them.

  • Discrepancies: Candidates who have discrepancies with their Results and are willing to verify their marks will have to submit a written request to the concerned authority, along with a Demand Draft of INR 1000/- in favour of the Commissionaire, State CET Cell, Mumbai, payable at Mumbai. 

  • Ultimate decision: If any changes are made, the candidates will be notified. The answer sheet will be sent to the candidate via post after the results have been changed. The decision of the concerned authority will be final and no representations will be entertained after the specified period.

MHT CET 2018 Counselling

Counselling Process Summary for MHT CET 2018:

  • Candidates selected for the Counselling Process will be informed via a notification on their registered E-mail address or Mobile number.

  • Candidates who have qualified for MHT CET will have to appear for the Counselling process that is conducted by the Directorate of Medical Education and Research for health sciences and pharmacy courses. For Engineering courses, the Board has a separate body. Candidates appearing for the Counselling Process are advised to get all the necessary documents.

  • The process will commence in the mid of June 2018, depending on the merit rank obtained by the Candidate as well as seat availability, the final allotment takes place. The candidate must mandatorily carry the Score Card and Admit Card for MHT CET 2018 to the Counselling venue as specified by the authority.
