Introduction to Haryana LEET (Haryana Lateral Entry Entrance Test)

  • About: The Haryana State Technical Education Society (HSTES) conducts the Haryana Lateral Entry Entrance Test. It is a state level online entrance examination conducted for those candidates interested in seeking admission for B.E/B.Tech programmes under lateral entry scheme.  The Online Entrance Test includes various skill tests like technical, communicative, general awareness skills of the candidate.

  • Courses: The entrance examination allows the diploma students from Haryana State Government and B.Sc. from a recognized University or UGC to apply for B.E. (Lateral Entry) course. They are offered admission to the 2nd year/3rd Semester of B.E./B.Tech programs in various Engineering colleges of Haryana in the branches including Civil/CSE/ECE/EEE/ Mechanical/Automobile/Aeronautical and I.T

  • Frequency: The entrance examination is conducted once every year.

  • Participating Colleges: The candidates who qualify for LEET will be eligible to apply for all private/public engineering colleges across the state of Haryana, based on their ranking.

Haryana LEET 2019 Important Dates

  • Application: The Haryana LEET 2019 Application Form can be filled by the candidates on the official website from 28th April 2019 to 23rd May 2019

  • Admit Card: The registered candidates can obtain admit card on the official website from 26th May 2019. 


Haryana LEET 2019 Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligibility: The candidates applying for the LEET entrance exam are expected to have cleared their Diploma in Engineering or B.Sc from a recognized University or UGC.

  • Aggregate/percentage requirement: Haryana LEET 2019 Eligibility Criteria for general category candidates who wish to appear for the entrance exam must have secured a minimum of 50% marks, OC/OBC categories must have secured 45%, and the rest of the students who belong to SC/ST/PD categories must have secured 40% marks in their qualification exam.


Haryana LEET 2019 Application Process

  • Details: Haryana LEET 2019 Important Dates for filling the application form online.

  • Application fee: The application fee for general category candidates is 500 INR, and 200 INR for SC/BC/EBP/PH/FF/ESM/GIRLS/KM/TFW candidates applying for LEET 2019.


Haryana LEET 2019 Admit Card

  • Credential: Candidates have to log in to their official website to obtain Haryana LEET 2019 Admit Card.

  • The candidates WILL NOT be permitted for the online LEET 2019 examination if they fail to produce admit card on the day of examination at the exam centre.

  • Centres: Haryana LEET 2019 Exam Centres are spread across the state of Haryana.

  • Venue: The date and details of the venue where the candidate has to attend the exam will be mentioned on the admit card. 


Haryana LEET 2019 Exam Pattern

  • Basic Pattern: Haryana LEET 2019 Exam Pattern for the online test. There will be 90 multiple choice questions (MCQ) to be answered by the candidate.

  • Duration and marks: The time duration allocated to the candidate for attempting the examination is 90 minutes maximum. Candidate will be given 1 mark each for correct answer with no negative marking.

  • The interested candidates applying for LEET #year should have obtained B.Sc Degree from a recognized University, as defined by UGC, or have a diploma engineering degree.

  • All general category candidates applying for LEET must have at least 50% marks and other students from reserved categories should have secured a minimum of 40% marks in their qualifying exam to appear for LEET exam.

  • B.Sc candidates need to have cleared all the subjects like Engineering Mechanics/Engineering Drawing and Graphics of the first year engineering program along with the 2nd year subjects

  • A B.Sc degree holder should have secured a minimum of 45 percent for general category and 42.75 percent marks for reserved category from a recognized university as mentioned by UGC, as well cleared 10+2 with mathematics as a subject.

  • The candidate must be of Indian origin with Indian citizenship.
