Applications: Enlistments for JoSAA 2018 registration will be open tentatively from the second week of June 2018.
Enrolment Deadline: All eligible candidates, who have qualified JEE Main or JEE Advanced examination will have to register themselves according to the JoSAA 2018 schedule which is tentatively by the final week of June 2018.
Choice of College: Alongside enrollment, the candidates will likewise need to submit their choices for colleges and course/programmes. The schools and courses must be chosen by the candidates according to their inclination as it will be considered amid the seat assignment session.
Documents Verification: After the seat distribution result is declared, the candidates should report to their nearest reporting centre for document verification. Only after verification and payment of seat acceptance fees, the applicants will have the capacity to visit their assigned college for confirmation of admission.
Participating Institutions: Candidates who are qualified for JEE Main 2018 and JEE Advanced 2018 will be eligible for admissions into 97 JoSAA 2018 participating institutes. More than 34,000 undergraduate engineering seats from the participating IITs, NITs, IIITs and GFTIs will be open for all JEE Main and JEE Advanced exam qualified candidates.

Number of Institutes: JoSAA 2018 comprises a total of 97 participating institutes or colleges.
Preference of Course and College: As per their eligibility criteria, the candidates will be allowed to choose their college and course from 23 IITs, 31 NITs, 23 IIITs and 20 GFTIs.

JoSAA 2018 does not have any set qualification criteria, in any case, for admissions into the Indian Institute of Technology (IITs), the applicants should meet the qualification criteria of JEE Advanced 2018.

Once the seat allotment results are declared, the candidates will have to report to the JoSAA reporting centres 2018 mentioned below to confirm their allotted seats.
Candidates who are allotted into NIT, IIEST, IIIT or other GFTIs will have to report only at the reporting centres of the same.
A mock seat allotment will be released before the actual seat allotment. This will help candidates decide their seat preferences in a better manner.
There will be two JoSAA 2018 mock seat allotments.
I do not want to accept the allocated seat. What should I do?
The allocated seat can be rejected by the candidates through:
Not paying the seat acceptance fee [and hence, not reporting at the reporting center]
Not reporting at the Reporting Center, if the seat acceptance fee has already been remitted.

Will a candidate be allowed to reshuffle the choice list at any stage of seat allotment?
The candidates will be allowed to reshuffle/reorder their choices only during the choice filling period before they “lock” their choices.
