JEE Main 2019 Application Process

  • Application Window: In order to appear in JEE Main 2019 and JEE Advanced 2019, the candidates are required to apply only online as per the procedure mentioned below. The application window opened on 1st September 2018 and has now been closed.

  • Application Mode: will release the JEE Main 2019 Application Form online. There is no provision for applying offline for the Exam.

  • Eligible Candidates: The candidates who have completed the online JEE Main 2019 Registration and paid JEE Main 2019 application form fees till the last date will be allowed to appear in JEE Main 2019.

  • Multiple Applications: Candidates must submit the application form only once. If more than one application is received from a single candidate then JEE Main 2019 application form status will come as Rejected.
  • Admit Card: The applicants who completed the registration process and paid the fee on time will be able to download the JEE Main 2019 Admit Card from the official website.

  • Note: The candidates must ensure that they are filling the genuine application form available online at JEE Main 2019 official website.

How to fill JEE Main 2019 Application Form:

  • Click on 'Fill Application Form' as given below:

  • New candidates must click on "Apply for JEE Main 2019". Candidates who have registered already can enter their JEE Main Application Number and Password to log in.

  • Click on "Submit" after the Application Form is properly filled.

  • After successful submission of the registration form, candidates will get JEE Main 2019 Application Number, which is supposed to be kept secure for future use. 


Submission of  JEE Main 2019 Application Form:

  • Documents and photographs: The online submission of particulars, upload scanned photograph and signature are to be done on JEE Main official website.

  • Application Number: Upon submission of details, an Acknowledgement Page with Application Number will be generated.

  • Acknowledgement: Candidates are advised to keep a copy of Acknowledgement Page for reference.

Note: The Acknowledgement Page need not to be sent to JEE Main Secretariat.


JEE Main 2019 Application Fee Payment:

The application fee can be paid by the following means:

  • Online: The online payment can be made By credit/debit card/Paytm.

  • Offline: Candidates Can pay offline By depositing fee in cash in the Syndicate/Canara/ICICI/HDFC bank through e-challan generated during the online filling of application form.


Instructions for Applying Online:

  • Photograph and signature: Before filling up the application form the candidate should have a scanned image of his/her photograph and signature.
  • Image upload: These scanned images are to be uploaded during the submission of application form.

  • Date inclusion: The photograph should be colour or b/w (but clear contrast) with the name of the candidate and date when it was photographed printed on it as shown below.

  • Rejection: The candidate should not be wearing a cap or goggles in the photograph. Spectacles are allowed. Polaroid photos are not acceptable. Candidates whose photographs are unclear are liable to be rejected.

  • Seat allocation: Candidates are advised to keep 6-8 identical photographs in reserve for use at the time of the entrance examination, Seat Allocation Process and Admission.


Choosing Password In JEE Main 2019 Application Form:

The following specifications should be followed by candidates while setting their password:

  • Length: The length of the password should be between 8 to 13 characters long.

  • Uppercase/lowercase: The password should coin at least one uppercase alphabet, one lowercase alphabet, and one numeric value.

  • Special characters: It should also join one of the special characters. Examples- !@#$%^&*-

Uploading the scanned images:

  • Uploading: The photos of the candidate should be uploaded, scanned image of the thumbprint and signature in this stage, according to the dimensions and format as mentioned above.

  • Candidates should remember that the images once uploaded cannot be changed. Hence, it is mandatory to pay attention while uploading the images as these images will be provided on the Application Form.

  • Terminal step: The registration of the application form won't finish until the images are uploaded successfully. These images will be additionally utilized for the application form and also the admit card.

Note: Upon submission of the final details, the candidate will receive  JEE Main 2019 Application Form number and the candidate has to upload the photograph and signature, along with its specification as mentioned below:

Payment of JEE Main 2019 Application form fee:

  • Payment Portal: After the registration is completed, you will be diverted to a secure portal.

  • Fee: The candidate can pay the application form fee either through online mode or through offline mode.

  • Payment: Candidates can pay JEE Main 2019 Application form fees using credit/debit card or by net banking if they wish to pay online.

  • Offline: Candidates will be provided with an e-challan if they wish to pay offline.

  • Pay: After filling up the details in the fields provided on the payment screen, click on "Pay".

  • Print out: Candidates are advised to take a printout of the Acknowledgement slip as a proof of payment of their JEE Main 2019 application form fees.

  • Log out: Upon completion of payment, candidates can log out.

JEE Main 2019 Application Form Correction Window:

  • Last date for Correction: Changes can be done in the Application form and JEE Main 2019 application form correction last date is 22nd January 2019.
  • JEE Main 2019 Application Correction: Corrections will be permitted in uploaded images. Candidates can upload new images in case of errors in the previously uploaded images.

  • Change of mode: Correction window will also open for correction in application form details like the change in exam mode from Paper Based Test to Computer Based Test, the city of examination, change in paper-2 to paper-1.

Step 3: Provide your application number, password, enter the security pin and click on "Login" to view your application form. 

Step 4: Make the necessary changes, the last date for the same is 14th October, till 11:50 pm.

Candidates will get an opportunity to change the Mode of Exam from Pen-paper to Computer Based Exam, but with the condition that they can't reverse it.

Any Particular information in JEE Main 2019 Exam which needs to be changed can be done in Correction Facility for like if a person wants to change the paper from 1 paper to 2 paper or want to opt for both that will also be possible and Student can make Changes by paying some about.

Students can change the Language preference also in JEE Main 2019 Exam in the correction window.

Can be Corrected Using Application form Correction Facility

This Facility is only possible for the Students if they want to change the Exam centre from India to Abroad in JEE Main Exam.

Hi, you can pay the JEE main examination fee through online or offline. Credit/Debit card or net banking can be used to make the online payment. For offline payment, you can download and take a printout of E-challen and make the payment in banks.

Students can also pay by demand draft issued by a scheduled commercial bank in favor of Secretary, CBSE and payable at Delhi. The above are the payment method for JEE test.

Hi Ramesh you can pay the examination fee through online or offline. Credit/debit card or net banking you can use to make payment. Or else you can  download E-challen and take a printout of it and pay the fee in bank also.

What are the important points to be kept in mind for the signature and thumbprint of the photographs in the Application form of JEE Main 2017?

  • The candidate should take a scanned copy of his signature and thumbprint in white background.
  • The size of the image should be between 1 - 30 kb.
  • The dimensions of the image should be 3.5cm (length) and 1.5cm (width).
  • The signature and thumbprint should be clear enough to avoid blurring of the image while printing out the application form.

The signature and the thumbprint images which are scanned and uploaded to JEE Main online should be in either .jpg or .jpeg format.
