  • About:  IBPS is the acronym of The Institute of Banking Personnel Section. IBPS conducts the RRB CWE (Regional Rural Banks Common Written Test) IBPS RRB conducts every year by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection for the candidates who wish to have a career in any of the Regional Rural Banks (RRB) as Group A Officers (Scale- I, II & III) or Group B- Office Assistants (Multipurpose) will have to register themselves for the IBPS RRB 2018 Common Recruitment Process (CRP for RRBs).

IBPS RRB 2018 Exam Eligibility

  • Qualification: As per the IBPS RRB 2018 eligibility criteria, candidates must have a graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized University/ Institution or its equivalent.

  • Age Limit: For Officer Scale III, candidates should be between 21 years and 40 years.

  • For Officer Scale-II, candidates should be between 21 and 32 years.

  • For Officer Scale - I, the candidates should be in the age group between 18 and 30 years.

  • For Office assistant, the candidate must be between 18 and 30 years.

  • For those candidates who belong to Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe, the age limit is relaxed up to five years.

  • For Other Backward Classes, the age limit is relaxed up to three years. For PWD, the age limit is relaxed up to ten years.

IBPS RRB 2018 Exam Pattern

  • Preliminary exam: IBPS RRB 2018 preliminary exam will have 80 marks question and candidates will get 45 minutes to complete the paper. The Exam pattern is set by the Institute of Banking Personnel section (IBPS). 

  • Most of the bank exam question papers with answers are available online for candidates for the purpose of practice.
  • The exam pattern for the IBPS RRB 2018 will be the same as that of the previous year question paper. Candidates can download and refer the IBPS RRB exam model paper from the internet.

  • Duration of the exam is 45 minutes.

  • The exams- prelims and the main exam will be conducted in online mode and the questions are of objective type.

  • Candidates have the option to choose between English and Hindi, as the language medium of the question paper.

  • IBP RRB #yar has negative marking as well. If a candidate attempts a question and the answer is not correct he/she would be reduced with 0.25 marks for that particular question.

  • There are two sections - Reasoning and Quantitative Aptitude. Both the sections have 40 questions for the candidates to answer.

  • Each question carries 1 marks, that sums up to 80 questions with 80 marks for the candidate to attempt on.

  • The exam duration for the IBPS RRB Mains (Office Assistant) is two hours, that is 120 minutes.

  • There will be a total of five sections: Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, General Awareness, Hindi/English, Computer Knowledge.

  • Each section has 40 questions. 

  • the Maximum marks for Reasoning are 50, Quantitative Aptitude is 40, General Awareness is 40 marks, English/ Hindi is 40, and Computer Knowledge is 20.

  • Application Form: IBPS RRB 2018 application form is available on the official website from 24th July 2018. The last date to fill the application form is 14th August 2018.

It is important that the educational qualifications mentioned should be from a University/ Institution/ Board recognized by the Indian Government and approved by the Government Regulatory bodies. You can apply for the exam but the results should have been declared on or before 02.07.2019.

Yes, you can register and apply for the IBPS RRB 2019 as there is no percentage criterion. The candidate has to be a graduate.
Q. I am 19 years old. Am I eligible to write the exam?
Yes, you are eligible as you fall under the age criteria set the conducting authority. Candidates who are lesser than 18 years old will not be allowed to write the exam.
Q. How to calculate the Percentage?
The percentage shall be arrived at by calculating the total marks secured in all the subjects in all the semesters divided by the aggregate of the maximum marks. It includes the honors/optional/additional optional subject. With the figure arrived, the candidate has to multiply the number by 100 which gives the candidate with the percentage acquired in the discipline. The fraction of percentage so arrived will be ignored i.e. 89.99% will be treated as 90% and 56.99% will be treated as less than 57%.
