Gujarat PGCET 2019 Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates must fulfill the eligibility criteria prescribed by the Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC) to write Gujarat PGCET 2019 entrance exam.

  • Interested and eligible candidates can apply online by filling Gujarat PGCET 2019 Application Form available on the official website.
  • The detailed eligibility criteria are as discussed below:

Eligibility Criteria for Gujarat PGCET 2019:

  • Qualifications: In order to be eligible for Gujarat PGCET 2019 Candidates must have passed

    • B.E/B.Tech in their respective disciplines with a minimum of 50% aggregate (45% for SC/ST/SEBC candidates) 

    •  10+2 

  • GATE Qualified Candidates: The candidates who have qualified in GATE 2019 must also apply online and are excused from Gujarat PGCET 2019.

  • Domicile Reservation: The total no.of seats allocated to students who have passed their examination in the state of Gujarat are

    • 95% of the seats are for those candidates who are from Gujarat

    • 5% of the seats are for those candidates who are not from Gujarat.

  • Sponsored Candidates :
    • Should have passed in the qualifying examination in the relevant discipline, with 50% (45% of SC/ST/SEBC candidates) marks at the qualifying examination.

    • Should have obtained the qualifying marks in GATE in the relevant discipline for engineering and GPAT for pharmacy.

    • Should have minimum two years full time working experience in the academic, industrial or research organisation in the relevant discipline.

Guidelines to Candidates Seeking Seats Under Reservation:

  • Caste certificate is not valid unless it is duly stamped, signed and issued by the concerned authority of the Government of Gujarat.

  • Candidate should produce Certificate of Caste: Provided that the candidate belonging to Socially and Educationally Backward Classes required to produce a certificate to the effect of non-inclusion in Creamy Layer in addition to the caste certificate.
  • No certificate to the effect of non-inclusion in Creamy Layer shall be valid, unless it is duly stamped, signed and issued by the authority of the Government of Gujarat. Such certificate shall have been issued on or after the 1st April of the academic year in which the candidate is seeking admission.

  • The GATE/GPAT qualified candidates, qualified based on reserved category score, shall be eligible only on reserved category seats.

  • If the reserved category seats remains vacant it will be transferred to the unreserved category seats.
