  • NTA (National Testing Agency) has extended the registration date for GPAT 2019. 

  • The Exam Date for GPAT 2019 has been released by the National Testing Agency (NTA). GPAT 2019 Exam Date is on 28th January 2019. The examination will be conducted from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM.

Introduction to GPAT 2019 

  • About: GPAT stands for Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test. It is a B. Pharma entrance exam which will be conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) which comes under the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).

  • Reputation: The GPAT 2019 Results or score is accepted by all AICTE-approved Institutions, University Departments in India. There are around 800 AICTE approved institutions in India which accept the GPAT score. This exam poses to be one of the top 10 toughest exams in India according to reports.

  • Courses offered: GPAT 2019 is for the aspirants who want to seek admission into the Master of Pharmacy (M.Pharm) or Doctoral Programmes in the field of pharmacy.

  • Level: GPAT 2019 is a National Level B. Pharma Entrance Exam 2019. Hence, all the students of India are eligible for applying to GPAT 2019. 

  • Authority: GPAT 2019 falls under the Authority of Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India. Hence, the Ministry of Human Resource Development has the complete rights for conducting the GPAT 2019 and allocating the seats to the applied candidates.

  • Purpose: Candidates seeking admission to Postgraduate Pharmacy programme in the top pharmacy colleges in India can take up the GPAT 2019. This is one of the options of entrance exam for pharmacy after 12th standard.

  • Enrollment: A total of 24,000 seats will be filled through GPAT 2019 and around 841 Pharmacy colleges and universities will be participating.

GPAT 2019 Guidelines

The conducting authority of the GPAT, NTA has released the latest guidelines regarding the exam.

  • The GPAT 2019 would be a Computer Based Test.

  • Every candidate will be provided with a computer and are required to enter the login details to proceed with the exam.

  • The candidates need to bring a passport size photo (as same as uploaded while applying), a valid Photo ID proof and a handicapped certificate (if any).

  • The candidates will be provided with pencil and scribble pads/ rough papers to do the calculations. Nothing apart from the above will be permitted inside the examination hall.

  • The candidates are required to report to the examination hall two hours before the commencement of examination. The candidates will not be allowed to enter the examination hall after 1:30 PM.

  • The candidates can make changes in their answers anytime during the examination.

  • A countdown timer will be running on the top right corner of the computer screen.

  • When the timer reaches zero, the examination will end by itself.

Note: The time spent to rectify technical glitches during GPAT 2019 will be adjusted.

  • Application Form: The GPAT 2019 Application Form are already released from 1st November 2018 and the last date to submit the application form is 7th December 2018.

  • Admit Card: The GPAT2019 Admit card will be made available from 7th January 2019 on the official website of GPAT.

  • Merit List: The candidates can check the merit list on the official website of GPAT 2019. All India Merit list will be released after the GPAT 2019 Results are out.

GPAT 2019 Eligibility Criteria

  • Domicile: The applying candidate should be an Indian Resident.

  • Age: There is no age limit for GPAT 2019.

  • Qualification: The candidates should have passed a Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy for a span of 4 years including the lateral entry candidates.

  • Appearing Candidates: The candidates appearing in the final year whose result is yet to be declared before the academic year 2019-20 are also eligible to apply for GPAT 2019.

GPAT 2019 Application Form

  • Details: In order to complete the process for GPAT 2019 Application Form successfully, the candidates must enter details such as personal details, contact details, qualification details, exam centre choice etc.

  • Fee Payment: The Application fee for GPAT 2019 is INR 1400/- for General and OBC categories and INR 700/- for SC/ST/PWD/Girls.

  • Mode of Payment: Candidates can pay GPAT 2019 application fee both in Online and Offline mode. If the Candidate Opts for Online, he/she can pay through the Credit/Debit/Net Banking. If the Candidate Opts for Offline, he/she can pay by Cash at any of the designated SBI bank branches.

GPAT 2019 Admit Card

  • Mode: The GPAT 2019 Admit Card will be available in online mode only. The candidates can download the admit card from the official website of AICTE-GPAT.

  • Credentials: In order to download the GPAT 2019 admit card, the candidates must enter credentials such as date of birth and application number. The admit card will also be sent to the Email id that is provided at the time of registration.

GPAT 2019 Exam Pattern

  • Mode and Duration: The GPAT 2019 will be conducted Online (computer based) mode.

  • Time: The exam will be conducted for 3 hours.

  • Language: The medium of the exam will be in the English language.

GPAT 2019 Syllabus

  • Syllabus: To start preparing for the GPAT 2019 exam, the candidates need to have knowledge about the GPAT 2019 syllabus. The syllabus will be based on the topics from the bachelor's degree.

GPAT 2019 Results

  • Declaration: The GPAT 2019 Results will be released on the official website before 8th February 2019.

  • Credentials and Scorecard: 

    • In order to check the results of GPAT 2019, the candidates should enter the credentials such as registration number and date of birth. 

    • GPAT 2019 scorecard will be valid for 3 years from the date of declaration of result for admission in PG course.

    • The GPAT scorecard is also applicable for three years scholarship in M.Pharmacy course.

GPAT 2019 Counselling

  • Commencement: The GPAT 2019 counselling will commence from 6th March 2019 to provide admissions for the candidates into various colleges.

  • Merit List:

    • All India merit list and state merit list will be published by the exam conducting authority.

    • It will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained by the candidates in the entrance test.

    • The merit list will contain the Rank, Candidate Roll number, Total Score, Category and status of all the candidates.

GPAT 2019 Eligibility

  • There is no age limit to apply for the GPAT 2019 Exam.

  • Only those candidates can apply for the GPAT those who have done graduation in Pharmacy (B.Pharma) from a recognized University. However, if any of candidate who is appearing for the final year and whose result will release before the GPAT 2019 admissions, can also fill the form and apply for the test.

  •  Registration: The first step is to register yourself and enter the correct details on the self-registration form. Once submitted, no corrections can be made in the data entered. After submitting the page, a unique 6 digit password will be created. You will receive this password via email and SMS too. Aspirants are required to use this password and their respective email id to login to as an Existing User.

  • Exam Centre Choice: Applicants should enter 4 preferred test cities. This data cannot be changed once submitted.

  • Password generation: Once all the data is submitted, a password will be generated. The copy of the same will be sent to the applicant's email ID.

  •  Payment: Students can pay the fee in cash or make an online payment through your credit/debit card or Net banking.

  • Declaration: Once you pay the fee successfully, you will be required to fill the remaining part of the form. Once filled entirely, you can view or modify your form by hitting the VIEW/MODIFY button. After you are sure of the filled in entries, you would require to accept a declaration and click on I Agree with the button. The system will re-confirm the submission of the form. Once you confirm, your form will be submitted and no change in the data can be made.

GPAT 2019 Admit Card

  • Applicants are advised to download the admit card three to four days before the examination to avoid last minute rush.

  • In case, candidates find any discrepancy or problems in the admit card, they can get in touch with the student help-desk department of the conducting authority.

  • GPAT 2019  admit card will comprise the photo, name and signature of the candidate, GPAT Roll number, test date, time, reporting time at the venue, venue name, venue address and brief instructions for the aspirants.

  • Please note that GPAT Admit Card will only be available online. It will also be sent to the candidate's registered email id. Thus, it’s important for aspirants to have a valid email account throughout the selection process. No hard copies of the admit card will be sent to candidates.
