Introduction of DSAT 2018:

  • About: Dayananda Sagar University (DSU) is situated in the heart of Bengaluru, India’s “Garden City” also known as the “Silicon Valley”, which ranks among the most dynamic, progressive and fascinating of Indian cities. It is also the nerve center for Biotechnology, Genetics and Information Technology.   • Courses: Dayananda Sagar Admission Test(DSAT) is conducted by Dayananda Sagar University which would offer admissions to the UG and PG Courses like B.TechB.Pharm, BCA, BBA, B.Com., B.A Journalism, M.Tech etc.

  • Frequency: The DSAT 2018 exam is led just once in a year.

  • Syllabus: The Syllabus of DSAT 2018 is based on the 10+1 and 10+2 examination syllabus.

DSAT 2018 Important Dates:

  • Application Form: DSAT 2018 application form will be available from 1st April 2018 to 12th April 2018.

  • Examination: DSAT 2018 Exam will be conducted on 20th April 2018.

  • Result: DSAT 2018 results will be announced on 24th June 2018.


DSAT 2018 Eligibility Criteria:

  • The eligibility criteria of DSAT 2018 is different for UG and PG courses.

  • Qualification: For UG courses, candidates must have completed class 12th or equivalent qualifying examination with a minimum 45% aggregate. For PG courses, candidates must have completed Completed Bachelor degree or equivalent qualifying examination with a minimum 50% aggregate.

  • Age limit: There is no age limit to apply for DSAT 2018 exam.

DSAT 2018 Application Form:

  • Application Form Dates: The application form for DSAT 2018 will be available from 1st April 2018 to 12th April 2018.

  • Payment: The candidates can pay the fees online through the official website. For the offline application process, application fee payment should be done at the fee counter at the University.

DSAT 2018 Admit Card: 

  • Credential: The candidates should enter their application number to download DSAT 2018 Admit card.

  • Availability: The admit card will be available for DSAT 2018 from 5th April 2018 from the official website of DSAT 2018.

  • Candidates are requested to carry admit card along with a valid government-issued ID to the examination hall.


DSAT 2018 Exam Pattern:

  • Mode: DSAT 2018 Examination is the Pen-Paper based exam. The exam will be conducted in offline mode. 

  • Time Duration: The time duration for DSAT 2018 exam is 2 hours.

  • Question type: There will be 100 multiple choice questions in DSAT 2018 examination.

DSAT 2018 Syllabus: 

  • Candidates must have to be prepared for syllabus of DSAT 2018 before appearing in the examination.

  • The syllabus of DSAT 2018 will be based on the 10+1 and 10+2 examination syllabus.

DSAT 2018 Results:

  • Credential: The Candidate should have to enter the registered email ID and password.

  • Declaration: The result of DSAT 2018 will be declared on 24th June 2018 at the official website of DSAT.

  • Candidates are advised to download and take the printout of the result and keep it safe till the admission process ends.


DSAT 2018 Counselling: 

  • Commencement: The process of DSAT 2018 counselling starts from 3rd July 2018.

  • The cut-off list will be published on the basis of course and category. Cut off marks will help determine candidate's rank for the process of admission.
  • The candidates who will qualify on the basis of merit will be notified to carry out the counselling and admission process.

DSAT 2018 Eligibility

Eligibility Criteria Summary for DSAT 2018:

  • DSAT 2018 Exam is conducted to get admission in both PG and UG courses at Dayananda Sagar University, Bangalore.  

DSAT 2018 Eligibility Criteria For UG Programs:

  • B.Tech [CS/EC/ME/IT]: The candidate should have Passed in PUC / CBSE/ ISCE/ 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics & Mathematics as compulsory subjects with a minimum of 45% marks and the same amount has been reduced down to just 40% for candidates belonging to reserved categories in aggregate in Physics, Mathematics and any one of the following subjects, Chemistry/ Biology/ Biotechnology/ Computer Science/ Electronics and English as a compulsory subject.

  • BCA: The candidate must have Passed in PUC/ CBSE/ ISCE/ 10+2 or equivalent examination.

  • B.Sc [Bio-Technology, Bio-Chemistry, and Genetics/ Bio-Technology, Chemistry, and Microbiology/Microbiology, Genetics, and Bio-Chemistry]: Pass in 10+2, A Level, IB, American 12th grade or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and English with Biology or Biotechnology or Mathematics or any other Life Science subject as optional and a minimum of 45% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and any one of the optional subjects.

DSAT 2018 Eligibility Criteria For PG Programs:

  • M.Tech CS [Big Data/Cloud Computing]: Pass in BE/BTech or Equivalent in Electronics & Communication, Computer Science, Information Science, Electrical & Electronics, Telecommunication, Bio-Medical Engineering, Medical Electronics, Mechatronics and Instrumentation Engineering with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate(45% in case of candidate belonging to SC/ST & OBC category). Good score in DSAT/GATE/PGCET Entrance Test.

  • M.Tech EC [Embedded Systems]: Pass in BE/BTech or Equivalent in Electronics & Communication, Computer Science, Information Science, Electrical & Electronics, Telecommunication, Bio-Medical Engineering, Medical Electronics, Mechatronics and Instrumentation Engineering with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate(45% in case of candidate belonging to SC/ST & OBC category). Good score in DSAT/GATE/PGCET Entrance Test.

DSAT 2018 Application Process

DSAT 2018 Results

Results Summary for DSAT 2018:

  • Candidates who appeared in the admission test can get DSAT 2018 Result of respective course as per official announcement. DSAT Result 2018 will be declared by the Dayananda Sagar University.

  • The candidate shall be selected in order of merit on the basis of aggregate marks secured in the Entrance Test,  provided he/ she fulfills the minimum eligibility criteria and minimum qualifying marks in the test.

  • Individual letters to candidates with the DSAT 2018 ranks will be dispatched by email. Results will also be sent out through SMS and phone calls to all candidates.

  • Selection of candidates for admission will be based on marks obtained at qualifying examination, as well as the Dayananda Sagar Admission Test 2018 conducted by the Dayananda Sagar University.
