CUCET 2019 Introduction:

  • About: CUCET stands for Central Universities Common Entrance Test. The exam is conducted on a yearly basis by the honourable participating universities and it is an offline (pen & paper) test conducted on an OMR sheet which comprises a total of 100 multiple choice questions. The exam is divided into two parts i.e Part-A and Part-B.

  • Part A consists of a total of 25 MCQ's.

  • Part B consists of a total 75 MCQ's which is again subdivided into four or more sections with 25 question each but out of all the sections candidate have to compulsory attempts first two sections and one section is optional which is based on the aspirant's knowledge.

  • Authority: 10 Central Universities comes together & then it is established by an act of Parliament and the Bengaluru Dr B. R. Ambedkar School of Economics registered under the Karnataka Societies Registration Act of 1960, jointly organizing the CUCET 2019 (Central Universities Common Entrance Test) for various Programmes.

CUCET 2019 Eligibility Criteria:

  • Qualification For UG: For U.G courses candidate should have passed 10+2 with a minimum of 50% marks from a Govt. recognized board (45% for SC/ST/PWD candidates) at 10+2 level with Biology/Botany as one of the subjects.

  • Qualification For PG: Candidates are eligible for PG course admissions if they possess graduation certificate with the minimum prescribed percentage from a Govt. recognized university.

CUCET 2019 Registration:

  • Mode & Date: The mode of applying for the CUCET 2019 exam is online mode only, the application form is available on the official exam website.

  • Registration: The aspiring candidates have to first register themselves after which they have to fill the application form.

CUCET 2019 Exam Pattern:

  • Mode Of Exam: CUCET 2019 examination is an offline mode (pen and paper-based) test.

  • Paper Pattern And Marking Scheme: CUCET 2019 paper will be divided into two i.e Part-A consist of 25 questions and part-B consist of 75 questions. CUCET 2019 examination is a  total of 300 marks where for every correct answer candidates will get 3 marks and lose 1 mark for every wrong answer.

CUCET 2019 Admit Card:

  • Visit the CUCET official website and click on the link 'Download Admit Card' and enter application number, Password.

  • Click on 'Submit' button then download the admit card and take print of it for further reference.

  • The CUCET 2019 admit card is a mandatory document for the candidates appearing for the entrance exam.

CUCET 2019 Syllabus: 

  • Central universities prescribe elaborated CUCET syllabus each year.

CUCET 2019 Results:

  • After the exam, the results are announced on the official website where the students can access it by logging into the link with the user ID and password created earlier.
  • Registration: The shortlisted candidates have to register for the counselling process in order to get admissions into the various courses in the 10 universities.

CUCET 2019 Counselling:

  • Counselling Process: The CUCET Counselling is an online allotment of seats and document verification process.

  • The counselling is conducted only for the selected candidates. The seats are allotted on the basis of the candidate’s rank and availability of seats for the preferred course.

CUCET 2019 Exam Pattern

CUCET 2019 Exam Pattern Summary

CUCET 2019 Exam comprises of two sections: 

  • Part A: English Language, general awareness, mathematical aptitude and analytical skills – comprising of 25 MCQs.

  • Part B: Domain Knowledge – comprising of 75 MCQs. This part may consist of one/two/three or more sections. Each section can have 25 or more questions. The candidate is required to answer a set of ‘X’ sections (75 questions) as specified on the front cover of the Test Question Booklet. However, he must ensure that he fills right circles in the OMR Sheet corresponding to the question numbers attended.

  • Question paper pattern for an integrated course: For Admission to an Integrated Courses/MBA/LLB or any other general course(s), only one paper comprising of 100 MCQs covering English language, reasoning, data interpretations/numerical ability, general awareness and analytical skills will be held.

CUCET 2019 Results

CUCET 2019 Result Summary

Availability of Results: 

  • Results for CUCET 2019 Examination will be available by June 2019. 

  • The Result of Central Universities Common Entrance Test(CUCET) 2019 will be declared for each program.

  • On the basis of the performance of the candidate, the merit list will be prepared and will be used for admission to UG, PG, PG Diploma, Integrated Programs, B.Ed, PhD programs in the participating Central Universities.

Steps to Check Results for CUCET Exam:

  • Results will be available on the official website by June 2019.

  • Candidates can use their Registration Details and CUCET Roll number to check results on the web-page.

CUCET 2019 Counselling

CUCET 2019 Counselling Summary 

  • The CUCET Counselling starts soon after the results are announced and the CUCET 2019 merit list is prepared.

  • This year the counselling process starts from 19th June 2019.

  • Counselling will be scheduled for shortlisted candidates only.

  • Candidates are allotted seats for counselling based on their rank in CUCET 2019 merit list.

  • Candidates need to register for attending the CUCET 2019 counselling session.

  • The counselling process includes the written test and interview that will carry the weight of 60% and 40% respectively.

  • Only shortlisted candidates will be called for the interview.
